Trying to find a theme can be a difficult task. I tend to look for the ones that offer more than just the same wallpaper and icons. So when I saw MetroUI by Bbt Designs I was blown away. Since I've been rocking it on my 9800 a couple of people pulled me aside to take a closer look. MetroUI comes in two versions, one with stock OS 7 icons and one with custom icons and both are absolutely beautiful. It's a fully packed theme that gives you slick, fluid animations on the home and call screens where you can even choose the accent color. Transitions are smooth, it's wallpaper friendly, and functional and stylish all at the same time. Yet another amazing theme in Bbt designs lineup.

  • With MetroUI, call screens have an added flair as well. The background reflects your chosen home screen wallpaper, and the buttons are styled to fit the theme
  • Choose the accent color of your homescreen, the color of your background or choose to use a wallpaper. You can also choose to hide or show the weather slot and lock or unlock the dock. When the dock is locked, your icons will stay in view. When unlocked, the icon dock will hide when not in focus.
  • Experience drop down animations, slide effects and fade animations throughout. Button highlights fade in and out on call screens, the Today Area slides down fluidly from the notification bar on the home screen and the Options Panel slides up from the bottom of the screen.
  • Access the maximum of your Today. When you click on the notification bar on your Home screen, a full page of Today items will slide into view. The highlight color reflects the color you choose in the Options Panel
  • Scroll around the home screen and find just what you need. No shortcuts required
  • Skinned Call and Lock screens
  • Clickable banner
  • High quality graphics
  • Hideable dock, weather slot, Today Area.
  • Fullscreen today area and full-width notification bar

For a limited time BBt designs is offering their popular theme Aura for free in BlackBerry App World. They've also reduced the price of their iLike and iLike OS7 themes to $.99 in BlackBerry App World and the CrackBerry store through the weekend. Be sure to check out their complete catalogue of themes at the links below. MetroUI is available for BlackBerry 8330/50i, 8520/30, 8900/10/30, 9300/30, 9100, 95XX, 9630/50/70, 97XX and 9800. Now for the most important part: Bbt designs has 25 copies of MetroUI up for grabs. For a chance to win simply leave a comment on this post. Contest ends this sunday at midnight PST, one entry per person please. *Please remember that due to limitations with Theme Builder, themes are not available for BlackBerry 7 devices at this time.*

I love the Metro look and feel. I wanna win! That way, I won't need to buy a Windows headset for a secondary phone.

I've seen plenty of themes..thus one seems line the best one for me...I hope I win...I would love a copy of this theme..

im bummed out since bbm music is not available for my device i need some cheering up so this would be great if i won this with the os7 icons,,,,anyone feel bad for me?... :( how about now? seriously though how is it that i use bbm music for two months in beta and then the official release is (unavailable for this device) ? FML style 9670

I love how people throw out these accusations and provide absolutely no proof of how it is a ripoff. What a loser.

I would love to have that nice theme. Simple but sleek. I'd like to experience having fun with my torch 9800 again.. :)

That looks nice....until we get BBX phones this theme should make our phones look better....please give me a copy!

Never really cared for themes for my blackberry as they all look unattractive. But this one definitely looks promising! I would love to have it!

OK first, if I am chosen, please disregard and choose another winner. Why you may ask? Well I was so impressed with the details of this theme that I went ahead and purchased it. Let me say it is everything that is advertized. It is smooth and I love how virtually all the home screen icons are selectable and go exactly where you expect them to go. I believe this theme will be my favorite for some time to come, very well done and worth the price in my opinion.

wow nice theme...i like it...but,cuz im curve OS5 user...i think, date layout on homescreen (like in screenshoot) perhaps not looks good for curve OS5...this becuz OS5 using long date format and OS6+ using short date format...regards^.^

I can't keep my hands off my mom's Windows Phone, but I still love my Crackberry! This theme will satisfy my insatiable desire for WP7, while staying faithful to BB.

I'm sure this one would look really nice on my Storm 2 :)
