BerryWeather 2.1 Public Beta Now Available

The folks at Bellshare let me know their insanely popular weather application BerryWeather has been updated to version 2.1.40 and is now out of public beta and officially available. A lot of key differences came with the 2.1 version as it's a re-write of the original code which will perform better across all BlackBerry devices, while taking nothing from the BerryWeather that so many have come to love. As a thank yout to everybody at CrackBerry who helped Bellshare with the beta testing of the latest version, they have offered us up 50 free copies to give away to our readers.

Win a Free Copy of BerryWeather: Drop a comment on this post for your chance to win one of 50 full versions of BerryWeather. Let us know what your favorite season is or what you hate about your least favorite season. For me, it's winter. Hockey and curling and snowmobiling aside, Canadian winters are never fun as it often times gets cold enough to freeze your face off. I'd much rather be at the beach :)

This is a great app. Very easy to use and runs well on my BB Bold 9700. Would be nice to win a copy of this upgrade.

Everyone knows how unpredictable Ohio weather is!!! BerryWeather would be perfect!!! Thanks for the chance.

My favorite season would have to be Spring or Summer for the warmth and sun! Everything is alive and not dead (Fall/Winter)! I also love the beach so Summer!
My least favorite season is definitely Winter. I hate the cold weather and I don't like snow. Also my fingers get frozen so typing on my BlackBerry becomes real hard and slow.

My favorite season, without a doubt, is Summer. 1) Because that's when my birthday is and I love being the center of attention on my day, and 2) because the weather is pretty predictable and VERY warm. I hate being cold.

Fav season is Winter, same as you Kevin love me some hockey!! But I'll take spring too so I can get some golf in as well.

Winter is my least favorite season. I live in N.Y. and the winters can get very cold, not to mention the weather is never consistent here. This app would let me know what to expect everyday!

I would love this for my Storm!! My least favorite season is winter!! Because the weather in Chicago is so unstable! We've had snow, rain, and 50 degree weather all in one week. Not to mention the icky slush caused my the melting snow!! Have my fingers crossed! :)

I think I love Fall the best of all the seasons. Not only are the changing leaves a feast for the eyes, but I also love the scent of fallen leaves on the forest floor. It's a spicy scent that can't quite be replicated by anything else. Makes me remember when I was a kid, playing in the piles of leaves my dad had just raked. :)

I would appreciate a copy... (:

My preference is the summer with all nature in full bloom. I do not like the winters in Europe (as I come from a warmer climate in Africa).

my favorite season is the beginning of spring. i really love walking outside and the sky is blue and the sun is shining when i wake up. that feeling can't be described but it puts you in the best mood for the rest of the day.

I love the summer here in FL, its sticky and hot and miserable.. but the beaches are beautiful, and laying in the water is the most relaxing thing for me!

Would love to win a copy for my Storm. Not too happy with the choices of weather apps out now. Have been using weather channel's app but not too thrilled with it. Would love to try this one, especially for free :)

My favorite would be winter in the west coast, least would be winter in the east. Snow is cool and all, but when you're here in the east thinking about 80-degree weather in California...

I really hope I win because BerryWeather would be really useful to me. I have to run outside, all yeah round, for track and cross country, and it would help to know the temperature! Especially in these brutal winters.

Winter is my least favorite since it is harder to get on the water to fish. I like all other seasons since I CAN fish. This app would be a great app to have so that I can plan my trips to the lakes/rivers/ponds.

My favorite season is winter and BerryWeather is integral in pinpointing those days when we should dress to accomodate the elements. Despite the dangers to travel that snow and rain bring, the cleansing effects of negative ion showers is a powerful intoxicant. Couple that with huddling inside to the warmth of family, fireplace and holiday spirit and you have my favorite season by far :) .

Spring is my favorite time of the year. It's not too hot or cold but just right. Great time to be outside enjoying life.

Fall means the onset of a reprieve from months of airborne allergens, dust and particulates that would otherwise wreak havoc on those who suffer from allergies. BerryWeather comes in handy for those times when the forecast of rain aids in schedule adujstments, making the adjustment to the Fall season all that much smoother!
