Last week while I was killing time in my hotel room at WES, I stumbled across a fantastic application called SmartAlerts. It comes from Bellshare - the same developers that brought us BerryBuzz, BerryPopup and BerryWeather. SmartAlerts adds great functionality to the standard email alerts and filters on your device. It allows you to easily specify custom alerts for particular emails (addresses, subjects, messages) missed calles, SMS and even calendar entires. What does this mean to you? It means you can fully customize your alerts and have even more control of your device. SmartAlerts integrates with both BerryBuzz (which I think is a must for this app) and BerryPopup. Using SmartAlerts together with BerryBuzz lets you control your LED settings fully as well. I know that some of you may argue that the functionality of BerryBuzz should have just been included in SmartAlerts, but it wasn't so unfortunately you'll need both apps to maximize the usage. The cool thing about the app is that it integrates into your Options screen. This makes it easier as you don't have to worry about an added icon and is more seamless within the general device settings. I've been using SmartAlerts for a few days now and I can truly say I don't know how I ever lived without it. The possibilities for custom alert combinations are endless. this software is seriously cool. must say i was hoping for something like this. i receive a lot of emails/smss. i use the bb with its cover so with every sms i keep taking the bb out to check if its from someone i know or just a random advert sms or such. its a pain when you are expecting an sms from a friend but till then you have to keep checking your bb and you are faced with random smss which you never intended to check.

this software can possibly solve my problem. :)

Well this probably wont get me a free copy of the app but I have been trying to get application support for days now.
I have messaged directly to your support addy, as well as through Crackberry's developer support option.
Well maybe this way will get the support.
First I LOVE your PopUp app and for that reason I am trying to get this app SmartAlart to work for me as you advised.
I want to eliminate a few 'popup announcements for some email notifications, as well as for SMS messages.
I dont want to have then deleted from there respective folders.
I want to blacklist them from the Popup alerts.
Now as previously shared you directed me to this app but I created filters and did not check the popup option but still they appear via your Popup app.
Can you advise as to how to gt this filtering app to support my needs?
