Review: Aliph Jawbone2 Bluetooth Headset

Review: Aliph Jawbone2 Bluetooth Headset

About a year or so ago I was able to review the original Aliph Jawbone Headset. At that time, I said "This is the best Bluetooth Headset I have ever used." The only other headset that even came close was the BlueAnt z9 - but the Jawbone was the winner - for lots of reasons. My only gripe at that time was with the size and "comfort" of the Jawbone. It was big (relative to the Z9 and...

I'm sure you've all heard now of the gouging that Rogers is offering up to potential iPhone users in Canada. Apple has apparently informed Rogers that they will divert a 'large percentage'...

Update: Rogers BlackBerry Roadmap

One of our Rogers' birdies just came through for us with an update on the Canadian GSM carrier's BlackBerry roadmap.... BlackBerry Bold Coming to T-Mobile Germany on July 21st

Our friends at BBNews are calling on a July 21st launch date for the BlackBerry Bold on T-Mobile Germany. Off contract price is said to be 550 Euros (~$860USD). Looks like I never paid a premium at all for the pre-release BlackBerry 9000 I bought on eBay! On contract pricing is said to range from 90 to 360 Euros depending on contract details/options chosen (seems like a BIG range).

BlackBerry KickStart to sell on T-Mobile for $49.99?!

You may want to take this news with a grain of salt. I know the first time I heard this information I was skeptical. Then I heard it again, and again and again. So to the best of my knowledge... the BlackBerry KickStart will sell on T-...

Google Maps Offers Voice Recognition on BlackBerry

The team over at Google have updated their Google Maps app with voice recognition for Pearl users in the US. To use, just center the map on your location, then hold down the left side convenience key and speak a name or location. Google cautions that the service is still experimental and accuracy will improve over time, but they're using the same software that powers GOOG-411, so they've got...

Indian Government Backing Down on Security Issue?

Indian Government Backing Down on Security Issue?

Color me confused. The latest in the Indian Government vs. RIM standoff has me puzzled beyond belief. The Indian Government has now stated that 'There is no threat from BlackBerry services'... And when asked if the Indian Government would give approval to companies that have applied to use BlackBerry services the Government responded: 'There is no permission needed for starting value added...

Review: Swiss Mobility Lara Side Pouch for BlackBerry Pearl

Review: Swiss Mobility Lara Side Pouch for BlackBerry Pearl

And now for something completely different… To start, I’d like to thank my Wife for helping me with the review for this case, as it’s more her style than mine. She’s been searching high and low for a case that offers a little more style and femininity. When she recently decided to cross over to the dark side and join the BlackBerry ranks, she was less than impressed with the BlackBerry...

Review: Ring2 Conferencing for BlackBerry

Review: Ring2 Conferencing for BlackBerry

It’s time for the monthly sales meeting. As your company has grown across the country, it isn’t easy for everyone to assemble under one roof. This can become quite frustrating. You may find yourself playing elementary school roll call, or dealing with a noisy background from someone who has dialed in.  Someone may put the call on hold or even not “show up.” In rare cases, you may even have...
