Is it Called the BlackBerry 8920?!

BlackBerry 8920?

Geez... I take a vacation for one week and come back to find I have missed out on all sorts of cool stories. While I was gone, James posted some leaked pics of a new BlackBerry device that was originally thought to be part of the long-rumored BlackBerry 9000 series. There was a lot of debate as to whether these images were even real or just fakes (or maybe a prototype that was found in a dumpster outside RIM's headquarters).

As it turns out, the device is real, but it's not a 9000 series phone. According to BGR and some Vodafone slides, the device will be part of the BlackBerry 8xxx series of devices, and also according to BGR, may be coming to Rogers. It's basically what everyone originally thought the BlackBerry 9000 would be.

AND...it seems that that the device might just have a name. According to Chris at BerryShack.com, an anonymous tipster (errm..RIM insider?) has confirmed this device will be called the BlackBerry 8920. Not sure if this will pan out to be true, but I have seen Chris be right before on this kind of tip.

All I know for sure is that's the last time I go on vacation to a country where I can't get BlackBerry data and the only Internet connections available to me are dial-up! :-)

Anyone else feel like this looks awfully a lot like the Moto Q9?

ALSO

Im thinking the keyboard looks like the 8800 keyboard which isnt the greatest keyboard in the world. I prefer the curves qwerty over that one

Looks "Girlie" i understand sleek and sexy to be trendy. I think i will stick to my 8800 model. I made the trackwheel adjustment. Looks like that pebble phone. As for the keyboard, not everyone has small hands. Keys need space too !

The new Blackberry is called the 9000, or the Blackberry Bold. it is expected to come out around the same time Apple will be releasing their new i-phone, between
June or July.

sligh

Hey some one needs to tell me why it has to have that dark keyboard without a lot of contrast making It even harder to see those keys ! Yes I am complaining .. I guess every one who designs small appliances like this one has better vision than everyone else. Or don’t ride on public transportation when lighting isn’t the best . And Yuck it sort of looks like an Ipone clone ! I do like the better quality screen and faster cpu , longer battery but battery life has not been a problem for me. And I hope it comes with 8 gig memory standard.
All the real important stuff is the software and usability ! I want to see more better faster easier programing to make it less steps to attach a picture to a MMS. One screen menus with out needing to click to see "up" in picture menu to see additional areas where a graphic is stored /end
