Earlier today, Slacker Radio sent out an email inviting everyone to come check out the new Slacker. I clicked through the email, saw the new site and then it dawned on me. Maybe with their new site launch, they also pushed their new app for BlackBerry 10 to BlackBerry World? As it turns out, that's exactly what happened.
Since 2006, our collective passion for music, commitment to improve, and determination to offer our users the best music experience possible, has brought us to this point. We are now able to offer our 4+ million users more than 13 million songs, the industry’s deepest customization tools, and our unique team of expert music curators and hosts who constantly update Slacker’s more than 200 genre and specialty stations. Gone are the days of hearing the same song over and over again. With Slacker, your music is always fresh, new and exciting.
Having taken the app for a spin quickly, I can say it's a pretty sweet native app. A bit basic in the styling mind you, but that's kind of what I like about it. It's nice and light, easy navigate and the app works great. If you're looking to check it out, hit the link below to grab it from BlackBerry World and don't forget to let us know what you think of the app.

Not available in the UK :(

I tweeted kevin and adam about this earlier. The app looks very slick. And works like silky smooth butter being a native app.
The only thing that bothers me, is they seem to have a Windows 8 Metro feeling to it.

Was looking for this on release. Love this app.

Yeah, I am not digging the colour scheme either. Also I am not getting access to my playlists and there is no back button so you can't restart the song. It is nice and smooth though. On another note, I sideloaded the Android one last work and it works really nice too.

Same here.
I always liked the dark color scheme.

Thank you Slacker! Yours will be among the first downloads when the devices are available on Verizon.

I'm so glad to hear that they are updated to/for #BB10. When we (USA) get the new phones, I won't miss a beat...

No access to my play list
popepope Feb 13, 2013 at 3:03 pm
I don't know if they has been mentioned or not but if you are listening to Slacker or audio on your Z10 the volume decreases when a new messsage comes in (email or text is what I have tested so far)until you look at the message then the volume goes back up.
Has anyone else noticed this?
QuIcKsIlV3r Feb 13, 2013 at 3:16 pm
Ya it's a feature of the OS. It does this as well in Songza and the native music player.
OTCHRussell Feb 13, 2013 at 3:30 pm
Same thing happens on my iPad!
JGlaze Feb 13, 2013 at 4:50 pm
When trying to download on my Z10 says ""Unavailable for this device"?
Has happened with other apps. Anyone know why?
illini2097 Feb 13, 2013 at 9:07 pm
Same here :s
I don't know why it is doing that? Is it not available in all regions?
hammers18 Feb 13, 2013 at 4:53 pm
I like it. Need to add the ability to add and remove artists from my custom stations though.
oddboy Feb 13, 2013 at 6:09 pm
Like it.. but seems like some features are missing like artist profiles, lyrics, etc.
Still, been looking forward to this one!
Gerry96GT Feb 13, 2013 at 7:43 pm
Seriously? I give these guys a 1 star because they don't have any of the premium paid features working and somehow they make it a 5 star rating. I read the other reviews that were very critical of the same reasons and somehow they are 5 star also. How can this be.
daves_25 Feb 13, 2013 at 8:07 pm
Yes! This is one of the apps I've been waiting for.
Jordan Botha Feb 13, 2013 at 9:39 pm
They need to work on getting a better designed interface. This new one is really plain

Unfortunately this version doesn't support station caching like their BB7 version, which I really like for listening to music in the car.
amolnar 3 weeks ago
No caching like the BBM7. I cancelled my subscription and emailed Slacker Support. I used the caching function on my frequent road trips. I hope the release an update to address this...
