Another BlackBerry Super Bowl commercial teaser image appears, but what is it?!
Tomorrow is the big day. Super Bowl. While some people care about the game, most of us on CrackBerry are more curious to see what BlackBerry is going to air as their first-ever Super Bowl commercial. We love the look of this video, even though it's not official. But I have a feeling we're gonig to see something a little different given the teaser images BlackBerry has been tweeting out. First they posted this one. And now they tweeted image above.
We'll find out tomorrow. But in the meantime, sound off in the comments with what you think it's all about!

I can't wait!
GordonTGopher Feb 2, 2013 at 11:36 am
Probably nothing like it but the two stills I've seen so far remind me of the campaign that Sony ran in the UK for their Bravia TV in ~2006 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GURvHJNmGrc
rgorman Feb 2, 2013 at 12:18 pm
I was thinking the EXACT same thing- I just couldn't remember what product it was for. I thought it might have been a Glidden paint ad or something.
jelp2 Feb 2, 2013 at 11:36 am
Its a swarm of post it notes gone crazy all funneling down to a man/woman holding a new Z10 showing how the new BlackBerry will organize your life.?
doug1010 Feb 2, 2013 at 1:25 pm
+1 :)
apache1680 Feb 2, 2013 at 1:55 pm
Now I like the sound of that!
jakie55 Feb 2, 2013 at 11:37 am
It will be quirky and fun....GREAT!
HKain7 Feb 2, 2013 at 11:39 am
Can it be pollen? Because you know its what spreads life
battery Feb 2, 2013 at 11:39 am
They look like cars have exploded into tennis balls. I'm probably wrong though.
Snipperdo17 Feb 2, 2013 at 11:40 am
Can't wait for the texts from friends asking why they cant buy it and I will say you still have 6 weeks. And then can't wait for the responses saying well why did they put out this commercial already then?
ekafara Feb 2, 2013 at 2:19 pm
I saw a preview for the new Superman movie last year, it's not out till mid 2013. It happens all the time.
springbok Feb 2, 2013 at 7:12 pm
Like!
JakeTheCat Feb 2, 2013 at 7:29 pm
Incompetence! By that time it will be too late - my boy will already have his third Iron Man t-shirt. The new Superman movie will be DOA. ;)
JPSKILLZ Feb 2, 2013 at 7:44 pm
True.
Andrew4life Feb 2, 2013 at 11:41 am
It's BlackBerry Flow!!!
kmrpatel4 Feb 2, 2013 at 11:47 am
To find out what it is, I need some more images to put it in Story Maker of Z10.
Shanerredflag Feb 2, 2013 at 11:48 am
Hope we get it in Canada.
leafs123 Feb 2, 2013 at 11:56 am
It will air both in Canada and the US.
jordandrews90 Feb 2, 2013 at 3:07 pm
Thanks I was wondering this myself.
Charles K Feb 2, 2013 at 11:50 am
I think it represaents the US launch well. Just a bunch of smoke and mirrors but nothing of real substance that you can hold in your hands.
camera531 Feb 2, 2013 at 1:48 pm
Exactly! And it should include a lot of people with their backs turned, as no one here seems to really give a sh*# about the TWO MONTH DELAY.
Charles K Feb 2, 2013 at 4:37 pm
"Please move along, there's nothing to buy here"
NinjaB Feb 2, 2013 at 5:29 pm
@Charles K: Lol.. Even though i disagree with the sentiment ur conveying i had to laugh...
@camera, not really sure what ur trying to say but ur right i dont give a shit about a 6-8 week wait, I'm getting it anyway as will most of the hardcore techies who knew about the device before launch..
And good thing the Z10 isn't delayed because BB never said a specific avail date, only Q1, which I'm pretty sure March still is. And to everyone else who didnt know about it and just learned about the device from launch, this isnt a "delay" at all, just a timeframe to be available. Gives them a couple paychecks to save up some $ in fact. If it launched right away you'd probly only have the BB faithful that was actually ready to go out and buy it right then, who at least 90% of will still be buying.

JPSKILLZ Feb 2, 2013 at 7:46 pm
Well said. Just like our imaginary "Recession," there is NO "DELAY."

doug1010 Feb 2, 2013 at 9:21 pm
Did they say when in march? Wouldn't it be a 1-2 month delay then?
TheEliteOne Feb 2, 2013 at 12:08 pm
I just hope it's not whack. Blackberry has had the worst commercials I've ever seen from a mobile device consistently. The best Blackberry commercial I've ever seen was the one posted on Crackberry yesterday AND that wasn't even official. LoL.
Ebscer Feb 2, 2013 at 12:44 pm
So the commercial has nothing at all to do with the product?
Well, that is a waste of everyone's time...
Abrante Feb 2, 2013 at 1:00 pm
I hope the product ends up front and center. If not, the impact might not be as great. If the two leaked pictures are a depiction of what the commercial will show then 5-7 seconds have been wasted. I really hope I am wrong. Maybe they are looking at a big Z10 in this part? lol
ekafara Feb 2, 2013 at 2:20 pm
You've seen two pictures of it and you already know what it's about? Please, do tell.
panterarck Feb 2, 2013 at 1:17 pm
It's the smoke monster from Lost....just a bit more colorful.
willm Feb 2, 2013 at 1:31 pm
It's a cloud of anti-productivity from people using Android and it's encompassing the world ... but then a guy holds up his Z10 and it acts like Kripitonite!
gjohnsto Feb 2, 2013 at 2:21 pm
(About the other leaked frame, from the huffington post
http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/mobileweb/2013/02/01/super-bowl-blackberry-... )
The frame in the sneak preview shows an early 1980s Honda Accord parked alongside a meter. Behind it, there's a colourful explosion of powder in front of stairs leading up to apartment No. 437.
The clues would suggest harkening back to the birth of the IBM personal computer, introduced to the market in 1981 using the coding 437 as its original character set, or more simply, the appearance of its font on screen.
It may be a clue because BlackBerry chief executive Thorsten Heins touted the launch of the new smartphones this week as a new era in mobile computing, because the devices have nearly the same amount of processing power as a personal computer.

I think you're onto something here. Nice detective work!
WTangoFoxtrot Feb 2, 2013 at 6:38 pm
wow just wow, 10,000+ if that turns out to be the case sir !
Jimcmf Feb 2, 2013 at 2:25 pm
Rotting Apples falling from the sky?
CDM76 Feb 2, 2013 at 2:47 pm
First we saw exploding colours. Now this looks like leaves on a tree or shrub exploding. Maybe its showing that BB10 has made everything so obsolete that the other devices are just gonna explode with jealousy.
FernCommodari Feb 2, 2013 at 2:54 pm
AVM BBDO attempts at being clever or funny for BlackBerry have been lame. Let's hope that they don;t ignore the product differentiation. That Sony ad was also a waste of time:

Chopper110 Feb 2, 2013 at 4:07 pm
Shredded Apple adverts blowing away!!!!
Can I have my Z10 now please.
black.rhino Feb 2, 2013 at 4:37 pm
It's a giant crackberry logo forming, only viewable from the sky. The people watching it are communicating via BBM, with video chats, screen sharing, etc. Maybe Kevin on a night bike makes a cameo.
amazingtoy Feb 2, 2013 at 6:08 pm
I would say it is a transition from the old time into a new era with a colorful explosion. The ad may show the features of Z10 - the heart - QNX and how it works on cars - the coming future.
springbok Feb 2, 2013 at 7:27 pm
Yeah, I think the commercial will be focused on BlackBerry as a brand and what it will bring to mobile computing now and into the future. I think it will not be just about the Z10 or the Q10. I'm sure there's still a lot of people who think (erroneously) that BlackBerry (formerly known as Research In Motion) is dead. The aim is to show the world that, not only does BlackBerry still have a pulse, but that 2013 is the second coming for BlackBerry! xD
JPSKILLZ Feb 2, 2013 at 7:51 pm
I really hope this is the direction, because the largest misconception is that BB10 is a smartphone.
jsocan Feb 2, 2013 at 8:25 pm
Do you notice the people in the image are all in gray business attire or dull colour clothing? This, I think, represents the old image of BlackBerry being all work and business. The yellow bubbles represent fun, energy and excitement of the arrival of the new BlackBerry. It signifies the transformation of the company, the brand, the platform and the new phones that will be for both work and play. After the bubbles past, the people will be wearing colourful clothing, with Z10s and Q10s in their hands.

Oh that's a really good one! +4000

Awesome image. :D
Now this makes for such an excellent wallpaper!
