Leaked screens show off native Twitter app for BlackBerry 10
Love it or hate it -- Twitter is a big favorite of many BlackBerry users. I use it every day for one reason or another and I'm pretty excited to see how the native app for BlackBerry 10 shapes up at launch. Seen here are some screens that show off what looks to be a close to final version of the native Twitter app. It's nothing too fancy that we haven't seen before, but it does look like it has all the basics built in. We do know that there will be some pretty heavy integration in the BlackBerry Hub with Twitter as well as Facebook and LinkedIn. Check out some more images below and let us know what you think in the comments.

Looks clean
I wonder what BLAQ for bb10 handhelds will look like...
Rootbrian Jan 14, 2013 at 2:51 pm
Even better? :D
Snipperdo17 Jan 14, 2013 at 12:36 pm
Just give me a phone already!!

Hmm, it doesn't look that great. Wonder what the 3rd party twitter options will be.
DJRikko Jan 14, 2013 at 5:47 pm
It's funny, I remember reading a lot of the comments for the Tumbler app that's coming for BB10 and people were bitchin' that it was a 3rd. party app, blah blah. Sometimes 3rd. party apps are better aren't they?!!
Twitter themselves made this app and it's supposed to look a lot like it does on Android and iOS, so they are going for uniformity, so yeah, it looks meh.
leafs123 Jan 14, 2013 at 12:38 pm
Unlike previous twitter apps on BB7, this was built by twitter themselves, not BlackBerry.

It looks good, but I've grown to like Blaq for Playbook..I'll give em both a chance when I get this baby in my hands!

+1. I love Blaq!

Although i like minimalism, this does seem to be a bit too striped down design.

Twitter made their app.
birdman_38 Jan 14, 2013 at 7:03 pm
It looks iPhoneish
r0v3rT3N Jan 15, 2013 at 8:20 pm
Hence the uniformity.
SparkyBC Jan 14, 2013 at 12:42 pm
Looks pretty plain jane. If they release this as a final you may as well send in the hounds for them releasing it. The would deserve all the negative press than. :P
leafs123 Jan 14, 2013 at 12:51 pm
The official twitter app for Android is the same as this, very plain. That's why I am hoping there will be other alternatives like Blaq.
randall2580 Jan 14, 2013 at 1:23 pm
That's why no one uses the stock Android app either. Interesting to see how the new Twitter token rules for new devs might impact development of 3rd party Twitter clients for BB10. I hear there is a Twitter client for iOS that sells for 19.99 because of this?
Brian Scheirer Jan 14, 2013 at 12:51 pm
I could make these "screenshots" in about 5 minutes (all stock Cascades stuff, no styling what so ever)... I'm calling BS on them being real.
digtech Jan 14, 2013 at 1:03 pm
This isnt some rumor that maybe a twitter client is coming... RIM confirmed that there will be native twitter app, we have seen its integration so many times in the hub. Geeez... If any app we know for sure gonna be there is Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Dropbox, Box. So relax.
Brian Scheirer Jan 14, 2013 at 1:28 pm
I didn't say it wasn't coming. I just don't think this is it.

I wonder if we'll see a native Windows Live Messenger app like the one that was on BlackBerry smartphones running OS 6 and OS 7 from Research In Motion.
Reubechs Jan 14, 2013 at 1:08 pm
Probably not, since MS is retiring Windows Live and pushing people to Skype.
JazzL5 Jan 14, 2013 at 1:10 pm
Windows Live Messenger is going away in March 2013, I believe and will be replaced by Skype per MSFT email announcement.
Fnen90 Jan 15, 2013 at 3:06 am
That means they going to release a Skype version for BB 10 :) !...Hope so because it is time to go for it.!
digtech Jan 14, 2013 at 1:13 pm
Well there were leaks as well showing windows live messenger and yahoo messenger...but Microsoft has said they'll discontinue it tho and integrate it with skype.
PLTM Jan 14, 2013 at 1:25 pm
MSN Messenger will still be there.... Microsoft is killing the Messenger Client not the APIs. Third-party apps that uses the API will still have access to MSN in the same manner. Microsoft just ending support the their Live Messenger CLIENT and directing users to Skype instead.
Rootbrian Jan 14, 2013 at 2:55 pm
Imo.im will work properly then. I'll be making a vlog telling people to use Pidgin and third party programs (who don't use smartphones).
BBPandy Jan 14, 2013 at 3:02 pm
Once the client goes, so will the 3rd party. Though it's true they will still work, most of their user's contacts will be gone. I myself use Trillian. However, all but a couple of my contacts use Messenger, that means that come march I won't have many people to talk to. (on msn...Trillain also works with skype)

Anything would be better than the web interface on the PlayBook.
mjgallaway Jan 14, 2013 at 1:18 pm
Who cares. Give me a GREAT browser and GREAT keyboard and I'll be happy.
piper975 Jan 14, 2013 at 1:20 pm
it had better have multiple account management like the current version does ...
BB_Bmore Jan 14, 2013 at 1:36 pm
Wow I hope it doesn't take too long for these great native apps to make it to the Playbook. Looking very clean.
OmarVlogable Jan 14, 2013 at 1:40 pm
HOT!!
sirfly2fly Jan 14, 2013 at 1:59 pm
Were gonna have some good third party like twimbow, neatly, and blaq
Rootbrian Jan 14, 2013 at 2:57 pm
I'll hope that ubersocial ports or makes a native app. :)
Once the qwerty version hits, I'll be mad at it! :D
cjterminator Jan 14, 2013 at 3:04 pm
There are many more pics on BerryReview, it looks very clean and well made app. Also there are pics of BB10 Google Talk app.
dadathepanda Jan 14, 2013 at 3:09 pm
What about google docs? Will bb10 have an app for that? And google maps with friend locator? And gChat?
Darlaten Jan 14, 2013 at 4:15 pm
Where others see "plain" or "simple", I see "eloquence" and "classy". I like it a lot.
Balti43 Jan 14, 2013 at 4:15 pm
Hoping its really good, I like Ubersocial but i rather use a native app on the BB10 hoping its better than third-party apps of course.
lalozie Jan 14, 2013 at 4:39 pm
Aaahhh no its DRY...
alpinechem Jan 14, 2013 at 6:31 pm
i just hope the device will be available for purchase the first week of February..... not March. Please RIM don't fuck up this time.
RocPlayr Jan 14, 2013 at 10:12 pm
Very nice looking...however, for reading tweets in the dark (2am), I prefer Blaq.
zombie73 Jan 14, 2013 at 11:20 pm
