Will it be a Berry Merry Christmas? I sure hope so... but it's all about BlackBerry 10 in 2013. Whether it's a good earnings report or bad one doesn't matter. As long as RIM has the funds to get BB10 to launch and market the hell out of it, it's all short term stock jockeying until the real BB10 value kicks into play.

I just hope that the results are better than expected, if they are, I'm pretty sure the stock will keep going up!
(RIMM is at $12.10 currently in after-hours.)

FACT : Sales of BB are up 27% compared to the previous quarter in many Eastern countries.

BBM subscribers are up.

( Now you do the math )

Its going to be tough numbers, IPhone 5 is selling really well, Samsung shifted 5 million Galaxy Note II's, Galaxy SIII is selling very well.

They will definetly take customers away from RIM but hopefully not too much.
RIM funds need to be high or similar to last fiscal quarter in preparation for BB10 for global marketing and advertisement.

More people are changing from feature phones to smart phones.
Still 70% of feature phones users have yet to switch over to smart phones.

What OS do you think that people will want over the next 2 - 3 years?

The out dated 5 year old iOS - NOPE
The old Android - NOPE
Windows - NOPE
The NEW super fast, super slick QNX by RIM - DING DING DING DING ! CORRECT !

Go RIM GO !

RIMM has a great opportunity ahead if they don't muck it up.

Can someone please explain to me how the Fiscal calendar works? How can they release the results of Quarter 3 2013 when that is in the distant future?

Stock price is going to take a hit after they announce the 3rd quarter results.

Or... like last time, the results will be better than expected and go up.
We can only hope.

hopefully theres a few more surprises like another couple million added to the subscriber base. then it'll be a very merry christmas for us shareholders.

If they manage to beat the expectations even by the slightest margin, the effect on the stock will be dramatic. Investors smell money in the water and they're jumping on the Rim bandwagon.

Up up and away.

Squeeze the shorts.

I can forsee the wall street dick riders calling bb10 a failure when fiscal results are released on march 28 and RIM still hasnt raked in billions from it.

Bold_until_Hybrid_Comes

So we go to the posted link at that time and we can listen to the conference call? Do i need to sign up? Will it work over bridge? All i have is bridge for the next month

The selfish part of me wishes the news might be a little bad, so the stock trades lower and I can buy more....because the way things are going, 2 months WELL before launch, RIMM is only on the rise ;)

But then the logical part of me says I hope it's like the last call, where dead ol' RIM added 2million new subscribers and shares traded higher because everyone was so surprised. Besides, at $12 a share, it's still a good price to get in for the ride over the next year.

This announcement has not been followed by any warning (as of date) and ... #IlikeThat.

I'm hoping for good positivity and great news. :D

Don't know if this is of major significance but I went to London Drugs
to purchase a playbook and they were sold out (149CDN) so I was
sent to another London Drug store and they were also sold out,
even the display model. The price may be the enormous draw
but at least the sales are happening, albeit I can't imagine a profit.

P.S. I am buying BB10 because I think the features are terrific and really
respect RIM's efforts for a comeback.
