Does the charger charge faster then normal car/house chargers?

Sure does. The premium chargers does charge faster (BB phones up to 2x faster) than the standard charger. Also, it has a free USB port on it. So though the native end is microUSB, you could also plug in something like an iOS charging connection and charge both microUSB and iOS devices off the same car charger. It's really, really good.
