Back at BlackBerry DevCon this past fall, our own CrackBerry Adam caught the attention of the smartphone world with his discovery invention of the BlackBerry Kickstand. Using the battery door in the correct manner to prop up the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is a trick that has been used by many a Bold 9900 owner since.
Not to be outdone again by CrackBerry at CES2012, BlackBerry upped their game with the introduction of the BlackBerry Glove. Talk about an engineering triumph! While gloves with capactiive threading that allow you to wear them and still use touchscreen devices is a fairly big trend in the market, RIM had the brilliant idea to go simpler and better by simply cutting the tip of the glove off of the index finger and thumb. Cool but kinda stupid that they just cut the tips off..lol I have a pair of gloves that have "removable" index and thumb tips (they are 3/4 attached and you can slip them off and put them back on - WAY BETTER!

Make cuts in a knitted glove and you'll get more than you bargained for -- the gloves will start to disintegrate...very quickly. Not the same effect.

I cannot believe how seriously some people take themselves... It just a promotion and, I believe, a very good one - it says Blackberry - and you better believe that anyone at the show that could get their hands on a pair were happy to get one.

hmm Rocky 1975 - think he had a pair too. Leave it to RIM to only go part of the way: either they ran out of money to make full gloves, or laid off the person cutting off the fingertips after 4 were done.
but have to agree...who the heck would use gloves that leaves fingers exposed in the frigid air? Why not removable tips that fold over and are only cut 3/4 of the way around so you could warm them up between BBM?
Really really stupid swag.
PS it was not the glove in action it was the ungloved fingers.
