hey MaxPayne79, how come? that's the phone I want!!
up488 Nov 24, 2011 at 3:45 pm
well from my experience the 9860 is a great phone. no real issues after 3 months except for a faulty back button initially. did an exchange and all has been well

|I wonder if the small bottom plastic part (underneath the BB button) holds there by 2 small plastic pins and double=sided tape like my crappy Storm2?

Two reasons. 1, the battery life is terrible. I get 5 hours roughly per batt and I have two batteries just to get through the day. And 2, there are no apps for it. Out of the 24 apps I regularly used on my 9800 and 9870, 6 were available. Another 5 I sidoaded from websites, forums and friends. The rest, are not available. Emailed the developers, got no response. Emailed rim like, wtf? They told me it'll take a couple of months or so for devs to update their apps. I emailed them back asking why they didn't do this all ahead of the release so the apps would be ready when the phone comes out? I got no answer...and don't expect one. That's why. As of right now, its a useless phone. And its heavy.

You sound a little incredulous my friend.
The Torch 9860 is NOT a heavy phone, it's one of the lightest out there in it's size (that's one of the reasons it has a plastic screen).
As for Battery, well, you speak of no apps yet you obviously have something running constantly draining your battery. I have no trouble getting a full day out of mine and I have around 50 apps installed. It's all about closing them properly - knowing how to use BB OS. Is this your first BlackBerry? I suggest the Crackberry forums for all kinds of helpful tips to help improve your situation.
Keep in contact with developers even if you don't get a response because if they see there is demand on a platform they are more likely to consider porting the app you want over to BlackBerry OS.

Lol..buddy I've been using bb's since before you were born going all the way back to the monochrome displays ok. Its just a garbage device. End of story. Its also 2012 and not 2005. If u don't know what that means, I suggest you go into thw forums are read up.

what i find more interesting, and sort of creepy, is how you know when he was born
blackberry's have changed a lot since your good ol' monochrome screens did back in the day there old timer
so, turbo boy, i suggest you slow down, lol, take his advice, because you own a good phone
end of story

Bla1ze, please learn the difference between "its" and "it's." You're a writer for a commercial website, not an 8-year-old.
buckwylder Nov 25, 2011 at 4:21 am
how come you're so familiar with 8 year-olds?
lol
and if you're so familiar with 8 year-olds, then you must realize how there are likely many of them (8 year-olds) vastly more intelligent than even you, oh wise one
leave bla1ze alone, and the rest of us by posting something relevant to the original post
peace
