Bargain alert - Clove UK cuts the price of the BlackBerry Q10 by £140

Clove slashes price of BlackBerry Q10 by £140

If you're in the U.K. and are looking to get your hands on a BlackBerry Q10, you might want to take a look at online retailer, Clove. While not everyone can go the route of buying SIM free, the BlackBerry Q10 is seeing a nice price cut of £140. That brings the price down to £322.80 ($535). That works out to £269 excluding VAT ($446). However, if you're looking to get your hands on a white Q10, unfortunately there's not price cut there. The discount price has only been applied to the black version.

Clove's price slash certainly makes it more appealing compared to the SIM free price of £499 at Carphone Warehouse. The discount will remain until stock runs out so if you want to grab yourself a Q10 now is your chance. While, I have been rocking the BlackBerry Z30 for the past few months, I still have a soft spot for the Q10, sometimes you just can't beat a physical keyboard. And the Q10 sure is sexy and smooth.

If you're looking to get any other BlackBerry 10 devices, Carphone Warehouse is still cheaper for the BlackBerry Z10 and Q5, while Clove has the Z30 cheaper.

Some of us NEED help from BlackBerry the android runtime not working!!!!! the installation gets stuck on processing

Here in the US Verizon Wireless dropped the Q10 to $399 outright or $49 on a 2-year contract or $17 on the monthly EDGE program.

Based on the age of the device that is pretty much par for the course for most smartphones.... it is unusual for BlackBerry, but maybe they have woke up to the "you can't ask premium prices for non-premium experiences".

And iPhones are premium phones? What exactly is premium in your definition? Lets get real, if BlackBerry wasn't in a funk right now, the BB 10 phones will be selling for their asking price.

Dude chill, I'm sure he wasn't speculating on the actual experience but the view of other non BlackBerry users.

Lol! How would he/she or you know what the views of the other non blackberry users are? What's your verifiable source?
Please enlighten me.

If you don't realize that people don't view BlackBerry as a premium brand, and that sales for the last three reported quarters speak volumes..... not sure what it would take to "enlighten you".

What has sales volume got to do with whether a product is premium or not? SMH. Think deep. We all know BlackBerry hasn't done well in the past, that's old news. Tell me, are BlackBerry's woes solely attributable to the quality of the phones? And I would still like to hear your clear and concise definition of "premium phones". Thanks.

To me Premium means it is either expensive due to the components it is built with, it's rarity, or that it has "brand" value that people are willing to pay more for. In my earlier post I was speaking of the experience, and that has mostly to do with the ecosystem which in BlackBerry's case is still very much a non factor...

Apple devices are well built, but they are not the highest quality components. But their ecosystem is second to none, and thus helps them to be a premium product.

Some highend Android Devices are built with the highest quality components or process (HTC One) - thus making them premium products.

BlackBerry does have well made device, and a very power (but immature) Operating System. But their Brand is tarnished, the components in most cases are at least one generation behind, and their ecosystem is a mess.

But ultimately a premium phone is a device that people are willing to pay a premium price for. Sales volume to me says that for one reason or another people do not want BB10 device - thus regardless of their build quality, components, ecosystem or brand.... they are a commodity that very few want.

£320 for this phone is not a 'bargain', I'm sorry. That's what they should have sold for when first launched. £250 inc. VAT would be a bargain in my eyes.

I'm in the UK.

A few weeks ago I found the handset for around £315 from a retailer via Amazon. Brand new, unlocked.

This is obviously the trend for this phone and so we should see further price drops.

Hope that Kids of our Kids will experience no limiting them boundaries. Countries are good - give feeling of having firm roots. However, it's the high time to do something with such artificial things like visas and so on... Regards for Malawi from the UK - regards written by means of Q10

[...] First ever London smartphone story powered by Z10:

A new Z device was not among the devices mentioned for the foreseeable future. A new premium Q type device was mentioned for some point in the future.

I think it's just a case of trying to get more handsets in hands. It's a shame that people have the mind set that they are cheap because they are going bust.

Uneducated staff in phones 4 u told me they don't sell Blackberry's anymore because they went bust.

I quickly became a BB defender. :)

It's still way to expensive for what it is. I wanted a q10 but when you see a phone like the moto g for £159 16GB, there is no competition

For the foreseeable future, I would always choose a Z10, Q10 or Z30 over the current batch of android or iOS devices. They would have to be something special for me to choose them. BB10 is by far the better OS.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that but they are far too trendy for my use.

Q10 White for £462.00

If this is not racist, what is then?

Check, both for $459 aussie.

No "racism" down unda, mate...

iPhone for me? Scr... ahem Q that! (posted from the latter) only 486 Euro for Q10. Bargain for a smartphone with small display, outdated hardware but have good keyboard! That's worth 500 euro?

I bought the white Q10 when it was released and even though i hated the price, I loved the phone. I agree the phone should have been around the £325 when it was released.
