Movie fans - Check out CineTrailer for BlackBerry 10

By James Richardson on 6 Sep 2013 07:22 am EDT

This one may only be of interest to residents in the UK, but if you're a movie fan you should check out CineTrailer for BlackBerry 10. The native BB10 application is designed to allow you to watch movie trailers right from your smartphone.

It does some other stuff too which you'll see listed below, but I think the best feature is the calendar integration - so if you find a movie you want to see at the cinema you can enter it into your BlackBerry calendar straight from the app so you know when it hits the big screen - clever stuff.

Once you open the app for the first time you'll be presented with featured movies. At the base of the display you get a search tab as well as a genres one if you are particular in the types of films you like. Touching the 'Home' tab will show you a few more categories - including Newest Trailers, Now in Cinemas, Coming Soon and Home Video.

Once you see a movie you like the look of, you are given its UK release date and synopsis as well as the ability to share via your BlackBerry Hub. And not forgetting you can press the play tab on the trailer to view it.

The application works seamlessly and with it being free I suspect it will be a big hit. Plus it's available for all BlackBerry 10 smartphones. Kudos to the dev for this one - it's real sweet.

Full features include:

  • HQ Trailer
  • Push Notifications
  • Film in Theaters (UK) and on DVD (UK)
  • Share function
  • Movie reminder
  • Movie info complete with synopsis, cast and trailer
  • Movie finder (Germany, Italy)
  • Choice among 9 languages and 11 European markets

Great who forgot about Canada.

At least we has a substitute of iMDb.

I would definitely download this if/win the developer updates it with USA release dates.

Not only for the UK. Found my tiny European country immediately, showed the theaters next to me, trailers in local language, perfect!

Downloaded it yesterday really nice little app.

It's also available in Italy...and in italian language.

I have Cinetrailer on my Z10 for quite a while now, but it used to be an Android port. Not a bad one, but definately not as smooth as a native app, so it makes me very happy to see they have gone native after all. I certainly recommend this app for everyone living in Europe.

Great little app. Good video quality of previews too.
