I'm a pretty big game fan, especially of the retro variety. We got word that a company called Decoding is hard at work creating some awesome retro games for BlackBerry 10 that I can't wait to check out. So far there are 3 games live in BlackBerry World for the BlackBerry Dev Alpha and there are over 10 more due out before launch. The current titles include Match Up, Pirates of the Galaxy and Untangle Retro. All of the games are free and if you're a Dev Alpha owner, you can check them out right now.

On top of the current games, Decoding is also working on Bubble Trouble - a retro space game where you have to tap to kill off the flying bubbles.

I have to say that all of these games have a great old-school look to them and will no doubt be excellent time wasters on BlackBerry 10. Check out some images from the games here, then head to BlackBerry World for more info.

That's all well and good but where's BrickBreaker??? It's just not a BlackBerry without the world's greatest time killer!

Please please please RIM if you want to compete with the leading brands make sure the big boys like gameloft and EA hop on board

Brick breaker was shown running as a html5 game in the BlackBerry10 browser. It was pretty impressive. Brick breaker will be there. It's just not a BlackBerry without it.

ALRIGHT!!!! BRING ON THE RETRO GAMING!!!!! ...someone has to port/make a NES/SNES//GB/GBC/GBM/GBA/SEGAGG/SEGA Master System/GENESIS/N64/GameCube/Wii/Dreamcast emulator!!
