When I upgraded to the Torch, one of the first things I noticed was that the native Calendar icon displayed a date that was automatically updated. Anyone who picked up a brand new BlackBerry Style will tell you the OS that it released with was 6.0.0.248 but, there is now already a later version available for users in the form of a leak. Sure looks that way. Up until now, we were given two dates for the BlackBerry Bold 9780 to launch on Bell. October 21st and November 2nd. Neither of which has rang true now. New information suggests that the release has been delayed with no actual reasoning for the delay available. For now, the Indian government has backed off and is not going to suspend BlackBerry services, despite extending the deadline for RIM earlier. Not much is known to the public; India has been granted access to monitor BlackBerry Messenger traffic, but we knew this already back in September, when I wrote my analysis of RIM in the Middle East.
