Although Bullet Time has been rumored as coming to the BlackBerry PlayBook since April, it has now finally arrived and has already risen up the BlackBerry App World charts into the #2 downloaded game slot.
If you're not familiar with the game, Bullet Time is set in a post-apoclyptic world where you play John Irish who has to blast his way through mutants using a ton of awesome weapons to help save his family. In other words, you get to blow things up and it's hella fun.
You can grab Bullet Time right now for only $2.99, be sure to check out the trailer below as well.
it is nice to see the ios users can download this free and us blackberry users have to pay. I feel so respected being a playbook user, that I am not going to give a damn about this app anymore :)
What's next? "How dare they not pay me $50 to play this game! The nerve? I feel so disrespected."
There's simple economics ... there are like 200 million iOS devices in use that can play this and maybe 2 million PlayBooks. They probably feel this is the better option to recoup than trying to wring development costs out of ad impressions to an audience of 2 million.
As others have noted, I've paid $20-$60 bucks for games like this on a console. Buying the game for less than a cup of good coffee doesn't seem that bad to me.
Wholly F*** RIM. Get off your f****** retarded asses and get these f****** devs to offer add supported free versions of these f****** games. $3 here and $3 there adds up really f****** fast!!!!!! YOU THINK THE WHOLE WORLD IS MADE OF MONEY OR WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?
@OneGreenFerrigno. Calm down. It's only $2.99. I agree the Devs need to make an ad version, and I'm sure we'll see more of this with the release of BB10.
A comparable game on the Wii is about $20. Gaming technology and prices have dropped considerably And there's no more ugly CD's to deal with, just files on a microchip.

@Rootbrian. I can see the guys point of people wanting ad supported games even if it's beyond a liberal pacifist like yourself. Me under a different account? Wow you really are mentally ill Brian, and people who accuse others of account plagiarism are the one's who are usually guilty of the crime. Wouldn't be as all suprised if Rootbrian is this OneGreenFerrigno. Have a nice day dirtbag.

Homophobic roid rage... Nice...
When you grow up you will realize that acting this way is detrimental. I'm truly sorry that I cast my line out in jest and you bit.
Both of us know (at least I hope for humanity's sake) that we would never speak this way to each other in person, live.
Perhaps you were kidding too.
In any case, I am happier being happy. And I'd rather have a beer (or something) with you than argue or kick your ass (or you/mine).
Please do reply with reality.

Downloaded and finished the game last night (on easy). It comes with only two chapters though, not sure if the remaining chapters are going to appear via free updates.
The menu UI is very nice - swipe and tap. Lots of customization options in terms of armor, weapons, weapon-addons, etc. Controls are good, may take some getting used to if you haven't played Lara Croft on PB. Game is pretty simple and linear.
Is there any difference to the version 1.0.0.22 floating around the net since april? I thought, this game was available for months. Have to check the sources... damn it.

It's a game, on a tablet. Neither of which are necessities of life. Sheesh.
I'd rather pay $3 up front and not have to look at ads anyway. /2cents

If only I were into these types of games... I appreciate that the developer is offering games for BlackBerry devices.
