BlackBerry Bold OS .247 Leaked!

Here we go again folks! After last weeks leaks of .244 and .245, and even after an official launch of .244 on A1, we have yet again another new OS for the being .247. Now having just gotten a Storm myself, I feel a little less interested in the Bold OS leaks at this point simply because I want my Storm to work better lol. However, If you are a Bold owner who likes to keep "up to date" be sure to grab this one and you all know the drill by now!

Reminder: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release, so install at your own riskand only if you're comfortable with doing so. If you've never installed an OS beta before be sure to dive into the CrackBerry forums and read all of our tutorials. Keep in mind that these leaked OS's sometimes take a step backwards in one area while taking a step or two forward in another. If you're on the fence, you're best off waiting until the Discussion & Findings thread fills up with some data.

There are now 5 Bold's in my little department (and we ALL have BB's), but updating all of them every three hours is exhausting...but I LOVE it!

I'm new to all of this. Why should I upgrade my OS? What are the benefits? I have never done this and have no idea what I am doing. Should I wait until my carrier (AT&T) releases a wireless upgrade? Would that be easier? Any light shed would be appreciated :)

Ya got that right blaize, although I would rather have a decent sized improvement over these incremental differences.

The browser has been improved in recent releases but many other things have broken, I recommend not upgrading to the latest batch of updates from the last few weeks.

Hi Kramed,
What things have been broken? It is easy to say this but not give any detail. Can you give some detail?

Thanks
S
