has anyone tested it ? i am using .237 and I love it.. its very stable so .266 will have to be just as stable if not better for me to upgrade to this OS..

can any one post some reviews on it?

Storm Users: Please keep your constant whining in your own forums. Reading your complaints in every comment section of a reviewed product or service is tiring. Or write to RIM directly. Thank you.

Shut the F@@k up

Completely agree,
Fed up with non stop complaints about Storm OS problems. If your not happy with your BB complain to RIM, what you are trying to achieve by moaning in a BOLD OS leak is beyond me...

So your response to people "whining" is to do some whining of your own? Interesting tactic.

Posted by stuaw11 Saturday, Apr 18, 2009 1028 days ago

honestly Storm people this isnt the place to complain about your updates.

Also the Storm has actually seen more leaks lately than the Bold. Also most of the Bold leaks have been unusable besides 216, 237, and 247 up to this one.

And the only reason you probably havent seen 5.0 yet is its just not ready for the Storm, or RIM did the Bold/8900 first since the Storm has many of this OS's features already in 4.7

Just upgrade to the Bell version of .122. I am a storm owner and I have it. Those that a constantly complaining about a leak must be very lonely. Upgrades are out there, just look and stop bitchin.

hey im a new storm owner and i just wanted to know where do i find the version your talking about? 0122

file size only 102284 KB?

definitely a bad one no need to test. From what i noticed from the past updates, a good update usually have a file size of i think around 115000 kb and above. Below that then there’s always something wrong, something missing.

stay away!!!

That has to be the stupidest thing i've ever read. You're basing your opinion on the size of a download. Don't spew your BS here.

Your crazy , all we want is a stable OS and the only way were getting that is leaks , also , to the people are are slow enough to say " write to rim if you want it fixed" are about as bright as as a broken light bulb. It dosent matter what we have to say to rim there not going to "give us a leak" crackberry is , why would we complain to them for nothing , when we can complain here for something ? Think things through ..... i know you people own blackberrys , so you cant be that darn slow.

PS : im not down for complaining , but complaining about our complaining is just spinning us in circles.

I agree it does suck that you guys shelled out for a top end phone and the software doesn't fair up so well. I would be really pissed if that was me also! But where do you think that complaining to Bold users gets you? We understand and empathise with your problem but I am sure i'm not alone in saying that reading about it in every thread is getting a little tiresom.
Im not saying don't complain because I think its pretty bad that at least a half decent update isn't out for you guys yet. But maybe consider that other Berry users might not want to hear about it 24/7...

Keep on Crackin'

And I resent being referred to as a "broken light bulb"

This is the most stable OS I have used

It is much snappier than .247 Loads quickly and without problems

All the apps I use run fine
gmail/gsync/viigo/twitterberry/google search

Web browser seems fine

BIS connection is stable, .247 did drop out out BIS on 3g quite a bit

OK nice to hear that all the storm users are unhappy but back to the topic at hand.... does anyone know what this OS improves on? or is it just another lackluster leak? IS it more stable than .237 because i tried .247 for a day and it was horrible.... so i am kinda hesitant to leave .237 unless it is worth it..

does anyone have any useful info on the OS and not just bitter whines about the storm???(get a BOLD)

Posted by rudolphe Sunday, Apr 19, 2009 1028 days ago

Nobody said all the storm Users are unhappy. I'm running os .122 and am happy as i can be with my Storm.

@Lito305

correction get the Niagara, Verizon + Niagara = best BlackBerry experience on the planet.

I am a storm user and I am patiently waiting on the Niagara; keep in mind i am running OS 4.7.0.113 which is not bad at all. Waiting to see what Verizon has up their sleeves with the Official OS just around the corner.

Posted by lito3o5 Sunday, Apr 19, 2009 1028 days ago

how would you possibly know this????

the Niagara isn't even out yet my man!

how are you gonna critique a device that you have never even held??

yes i understand that that is gonna be "verizons bold" but you have no idea what the experiance is like so how can you possibly say best blackberry experience???

lmao... every one i have known with a storm was unhappy with it in so many ways and the people who are "happy" with it are just to proud to admit that they have an unfinished and unstable device...

don't get it wrong... i am by no means trashing the storm or people who own one ...

i'm just stating facts and actual occurrences that me and friends of mine have experienced with that device...

my Bold on the other hand has been nothing but wonderful and works as it should and is by far not a buggy device..

so with that said, the bold is the best blackberry experience yet... who knows maybe the niagara might take that title when it comes out but the bold is still better spec wise

Can you all post of the improvements. WTF just posting leaks and giving out a disclaimer isn't really worth shat. Do the people who post these leaks even use a BlackBerry.

Posted by rudolphe Sunday, Apr 19, 2009 1028 days ago

Take your lazy self to the forums if you want to see changes.

Posted by 1jaxstate1 Sunday, Apr 19, 2009 1028 days ago

The forums don't say what's "improved" either jackass. DUH!

Posted by thesquire Sunday, Apr 19, 2009 1028 days ago

At this point 4.6 is only getting a few bug fixes & translation fixes/new languages between releases. There are usually nothing noticeably different, you are likely imaging speed differences...if you think the build you are running is stable and then just stick with it.

Installed it last night, works great. All 3rd Party Apps work perfect

This is great news if you liked dropped calls and poor data speeds on the aweful ATT.
What about those of us that are on the nations best and fastest network (Verizon) and only need a descent OS on the Storm to make it perfect? Now lets get an official OS on the Storm! ATT is sub-par at best and we need to be focusing on us Storm users on a great network!

Using the .266 for three days. Memory is still low (23MB) using only three 3rd party apps. Connection to Desktop Manager is erratic. Sometime it connects well, at time it doesn't at all. Lost my Hebrew support but downloaded it from somewhere else.

Posted by Bryan epner Tuesday, Apr 21, 2009 1026 days ago

Where did you get the hebrew from?

Posted by devek Friday, Apr 24, 2009 1023 days ago

http://www.cheservices.com/blackberry

OTA apps work fantastic. I don't think I will turn my keyboard into a Hebrew one, but I pretty much know it by heart now and can type Hebrew from right to left in emails.

Hey guys I tried this OS and it's way more stable than previous versions. Quicker response, browser is faster and the list goes on...... BE AWARE IF YOU'RE USING WINDOWS 7, YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
1)RIGHT CLICK MY COMPUTER
2)CLICK ON "MANAGE"
3)CLICK "DEVICE MANAGER" LEFT SIDE
4)EXPAND USB CONTROLLERS
5)RIGHT CLICK ALL "USB ROOT HUBS"
6)CLICK "PROPERTIES"
7)CLICK "POWER MANAGEMENT" TAB
8)UNCHECK "ALLOW THE COMPUTER TO TURN OFF THIS DEVICE TO SAVE POWER"
9)DO NOT RESTART COMPUTER AS IT WILL DEFAULT TO CHECKING THE BOX

OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET MESSAGE DURING INSTALLATION THAT SAYS "UPLOADING IMAGE RAM" AND IT WON'T DO ANYTHING AFTER THAT.

Thanks for the heads up for us Windows 7 users. I hope all goes well with the OS upgrade, last time I lost all my contacts...

Thanks, I can confirm that method works on Windows 7.

Hi,
I mentioned the issue with Windows 7 and that the OS seems way better for me in every regard but I forgot to mention my
