Blurts

We have posted a few times on the application Blurts. If you haven't heard, it is an application that connects your BlackBerry and PC via bluetooth, allowing you to view email, sms, and incoming call alerts directly on your PC. Along with its current features, Blurts has added the following:

  • SMS message threading with chat history and ability to have more that one SMS window open at once
  • Option to split messages larger than 160 characters into multiple messages
  • Capture of images from your BlackBerry's screen
  • Option to auto lock PC once Blurts disconnects
  • Now supporting Broadcom Bluetooth drivers
  • Importing of your BlackBerry's address book for alerts
  • Contacts photo will display from address book when receiving an alert
  • 2-Way transfer of clipboard
  • Non-English characters now supported
  • Location of alert on desktop is now customizable

If you're looking to give Blurts a go, they also have a trial version, however it does not include all of the new features features. The application is compatible with all devices running OS 4.2.1 and higher.

Contest: We have 50 copies of Blurts to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries wont count.

This would be a very beneficial application for me, no more needing to un-holster the phone to see why it is vibrating

Good luck to everyone on this...sounds like a great program, especially when i cannot take my phone out during work...(goog luck to me)...

I entered the contest the last time copies of this were given away. I didn't win then but maybe this time.

I would really enjoy a copy of this. I have never won anything yet through this comment contest. Hopefully this will be the first.

this app is great my friend has it and i wanted it ever since....it would really make using my blackberry much easier!!!!!!!!!!

This would be nice for sitting at my desk all day...easier to read and reply to SMS, etc...

A dream come true!

I'm heading off to college in a few months and this app would be a miracle for me to use my laptop and blackberry simultaneously. To get phone alerts and use my laptop will save me tons of time by not having to switch between blackberry and computer.

This would be so helpful to me... I've been looking for a program that allows me to control my blackberry from my laptop. This is one step closer. Thanks.

This would really be awesome to have when the Blackberry is connected to your computer so you dont have to always disconnect it to respond to a message.

I would love to have a chance of winning a copy of this software. Looks pretty good. Had my eyes on it for a while now.

I think that this program is simply awesome. Because most of the time the keypad is just too small to type for long amounts of time so typing at the PC will be great! This idea is too practical!

This seems like one of those great ideas RIM should have just built into the desktop manager. Since they didn't.. I'd love to get my hands on a copy!

Blurts, never heard it but i'm glad it exsist! The one thing i was looking for when switching from Nokia 2 BlackBerry!

As much time as I spend on the computer at home, school and work, this app would come in quite handy! Count me in!
