BlackBerry Z30 takes home 2014 Good Design award

The iconic look of BlackBerry's Z30 slate-styled smartphone has just nabbed itself an award for 2014. After reviewing submissions from several thousand of the world's leading manufacturers and industrial and graphic designers around the world, the Chicago Athenaeum: Music of Architecture and Design along with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies awarded the BlackBerry Z30 the Good Design award this year.

In October, the jury met in New York and Los Angeles and selected over 700 product designs and graphics from over 36 nations worthy of the GOOD DESIGN™ Award for their Design Excellence—including the BlackBerry Z30.

The BlackBerry Z30 was launched in late 2013.

Announcement of the award comes just ahead of BlackBerry's introduction of its next iconic phone, the BlackBerry Classic, which brings back an old classic BlackBerry design into the modern world.
