BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone Reality Review - pt. 1

The BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone is RIM's latest accessory of note, allowing you to take advantage of Bluetooth and go hands-free in your car. We first caught wind of it back at the Consumer Electronics Show in January and got a good walk-through of it in April at CTIA Wireless. Research in Motion has put a lot of thought into the Visor Mount's design and functionality - you can tell this is one of those accessories they want every BlackBerry owner to buy (assuming your vehicle isn't pre-equipped with Bluetooth). They'll have some competition though from existing best-selling speakerphones including the Jabra SP700 and the Blueant Supertooth 3.

We'll be getting the BlackBerry Visor Mount in stock at ShopCrackBerry.com soon and will bring you the full review then. In the meantime, I just couldn't wait to post Part I of this reality review up. DEFINITELY CHECK IT OUT. I had some fun on this one. Let me know what you think in the comments! :-)

I hope my daughters would never stop for a random guy with a video camera and blue tooth device in hand ...I hope this was staged.

The first thing I thought when I saw the device is that it is too big. Also, if you have to charge it with the car charger, you'll have a cord in front of your windshield.

Reminded me of BangBus when the chicks showed up. Staged for sure, what chick unbuckles herself when stopping for some random dude? Dont get me wrong, it was a good video, very effective and entertaining at the same time.

That's totally Hwy 59 North up to Grand Beach. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Beach_(Manitoba)) It's actually a 3km long beach.

And what a nice day it was in Winnipeg! Had to turn on my A/C finally!

isnt the point of showing a video about reviewing a product to actually demonstrate how it works? not some guy supposedly getting picked up by some girls and going to the beach with them? cause that CLEARLY wasnt staged...

Looks like a good peice of kit. Judging by the noises it makes, it sounds like Jabra had a hand in its development - sounds just like the SP700!

My new Accord has an mp3 jack. When I plug my Storm in to it, (works great for playing music) and then make a call, can do speakerphone. The person on the other end comes through my stereo and like I said, i am on speakerphone. How is using Bluetooth any different?

How does this compare to the Motorola Rockr T505? I have it and it works great. Side buttons on it will allow you to skip tracks, etc.

I got mine about 6 months ago, and couldn't be happier with it! I've also gotten drivesafe.ly.com for txts and emails, and that automatically runs thru it, so I'm completely hands free. Sound quality is excellent, don't buy something cheaper and not be able to hear it..
