As they were coming off the red carpet, many gave their impressions of the hottest new BlackBerry as shown in the video above. Drake, has long been known to write all his songs on his BlackBerry device so was rather interesting to hear his thoughts on the BlackBerry Torch. Check it out!

The way Mr. Entourage and lady Hills spoke you can pretty much feel like they were there just cause they got paid to do so but by listening to others you can tell they love their berries.

I love my Torch don't get me wrong...but I find myself at times missing my Bold 9000. It was so big and the keyboard just fit GREAT in my hand. I would like to see them go back to that larger footprint...before long it is going to be like typing on a palm...an who wants that...

Every time I see a video of a celebrity using a smartphone, the first thought that comes to mind is "How much were you paid to endorse this product?" Then the second question pops up... "What do you really use?!" I am sure these celebrities are real people, too, and they have their own preferences like any normal person. But considering how much attention they can draw to their preference, I have to wonder when they do these videos, like the one that rapper/producer JD did, whether they are being paid to "demonstrate loyalty" to the BlackBerry. But there's always that concept that celebrities do want to look cool and in sync with current trends, so they may sport a given smartphone because it's popular.
Who cares who uses it. Why not make a phone that sells itself

I have been with Sprint for 10 years. The Torch is really making me think about switching to AT&T...but then again AT&T service is horrible in my area. One of my co-workers has an iphone and has to stand in one corner of our break room near the window to get reception. Any other part of the building they cant receive texts or emails or make calls. With my BB on Sprint, I have excellent reception everywhere. I am really pissed that I cant get this phone on Sprint, cuz i know i'd love it.
VW1, the blackberry has a lot more signal strength than the iphone no matter what carrier its on...trjnberry, most celebs across the globe use blackberry's over every other smartphone, thats a fact actually, its by an overwhelming margin too. And Jermain Dupri, the video you are referring to from the other day, that was not a paid promotion, he was in a recording studio about to go on air for a radio broadcast. You honestly shouldnt be so skeptical over everything, but i can kinda see where you are coming from.
None of video links work on my 8520 anymore and I have no idea why not. When I click on the link it asks me to save it then says unsupported media type. This is really bugging me as I can not watch any vids from crackberry on my bb anymore. Is anyone else having a similar problem?

im going to go with the 9700 bold torch the keys are are not raised like on the bold there hard to type i hate the touch screen, im going to bust my iphone 3gs 32 gb phone with a hammer i cant wait to do it this iphone is bad . love blackberry all i have to do is save money to get it.

...come on...when u look how the "celebs" act and speak about their new torch u easily recognize they most of them have never really used it...they just pray down some taught sentences...don't get me wrong, though there are many "bad" points about the torch in the media, im sure i will love my one when its released over here...but u see that what these celebs did on the red carpet was just doing their job...they ACTED ....

hmmmm I stopped caring what celebs thought about a product a long time ago...Celebs are regular human beings why would you worship them? Anyways get the product for yourself not just because some famous person told u its cool...If I was RIM I would do a Real advertisement with regular ordinary People...Give them a free phone to try it out and shoot a feedback video as a commercial. Slogan.. "A Real Phone for Real People" or maybe "A Real Good Phone for Real Good People."

Paris Hilton, Drake plus a bunch of other celebs are paid to show their faces these types of events. They use their "star power" to show off the device and make the uneducated consumer think, "All the celebs have it! I need it too." So what Drake writes his songs on a Blackberry. I could write a song on a BlackBerry too.
We average Joes and Janes don't live the same lifestyle of these celebs, so we don't have the luxury of swapping new devices every 2 weeks or breaking contracts like its nothing. These stars have spent several days or maybe a couple of weeks with these devices and are talking about how great they are.
Let's see them own that device for a year at least and then talk about how its so great.

RIM's new BlackBerry experience on the Torch and overall presentation has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Like others have posted before me, why not show real people and their real experiences with real use of such devices? Because it's the truth. And the truth is that a Torch cannot face off against many of the current gen and definitely not the next gen devices. These celebs have nothing intelligent to say about the use of such devices and like their jobs, they are just following scripted lines.
You think Drake or Paris worry about productivity apps, OS updates, internet browsing experiences and multi-tasking? I'm not hating on celebrities, but I find it rather silly for them to provide some sort of feedback in an attempt to influence the masses. They think they know, but they have no idea.

I like this type of PR...whether they were paid to do it or not, its gonna generate revenue from fans of these celebs. I wanted a Torch already but now that I saw Drake with it I want it more to transfer my backed up verses and add new ones with the touchscreen keypad and the qwerty.

Do research before you go out and buy a product….The reason I want a 9800 is because it has the best of both worlds. I wanted the Storm when it came out but I never got it because it would be impossible for me to type on the screen.. Females with long nails prefer a Standard keyboard…So Kiddies think before you buy!!!!
