Bell customers hoping to pick up a
BlackBerry Torch 9860 today are facing a bit of disappointment as the device remains unavailable. Though it wasn't officially announced that it would be available August 22,
leaked documents two weeks ago had led to that conclusion. It seems now that Bell will be making the Torch 9860 available on August 31st, which is just a bit over a week away. No word on what official pricing will be but, as you can see above, Future Shop will have it available for just $129.99 on a 3 year contract.

what about Telus????
I went into a Telus store today and asked the clerk when she thinks it will be released, at which point she told me "sometime in December"
...I stared her straight in the eye for five seconds, called her an idiot (in my head), and left the store.
USELESS!!!

I was told on the 29th of this month by a very good friend of mine who is higher up at Telus.

ok i'm about to ask a really stupid, when a phone says it's 129.99 on a 3 year contract, what exactly does that mean,
camera531 Aug 23, 2011 at 12:31 am
It means it has a dual-core processor
QueXiaQuanton Aug 23, 2011 at 11:11 am
It means you sign up for a three year contract and then you get the phone at the discounted rate of $129.99. If you don't sign a contract then you pay full price for the phone. Probably $499.

That was a stupid question

nicpap Aug 23, 2011 at 7:33 pm
ok, but then how much do you pay each month for your plan?
unusualusername Aug 24, 2011 at 1:49 am
I, too, am going to ask a stupid question. When you signed a contract, will you still pay monthly even though you won't be using it? I mean I'm planning to unlock it right after I get one.. if I will be able to get one.
