Another new BlackBerry, another video unboxing. Though this tech geek ritual is a little lame, I'd be lying if I didn't say I was as excited as hell to crack open the AT&T BlackBerry Torch 9800 box and get this BlackBerry 6 rock'n slider into my hands. There's a lot of new going on with the Torch 9800... new form factor, new brand family, newly updated operating system, new camera and more! You can check out our BlackBerry Torch 9800 Features and Specifications for full tech specs.

In the box is the BlackBerry Torch 9800 Smartphone, hands-free 3.5mm stereo headset, charger and USB cable (the new style that we saw debut with the Pearl 3G, battery, 4GB memory card, polishing cloth and the paper work - quickstart guide, product and safety info Desktop Manager 6 cd. No carrying case or skin though, so you'll have to check out ShopCrackBerry.com for that one.

After you're done watching the unboxing video above, you can check out our full BlackBerry Torch 9800 Review and BlackBerry 6 Review. Enjoy the show. I had some fun with this one!

Shad0w26

How did you guys get it so fast?!

dragun

Nice.

Found it odd there wasn't a holder or case in the box.

ELvolution

Will there be a holster included when it hits provider shelves?

I would hazard a guess that this is because they want to make money on sales. And the big guns like Otter, Seidio, etc., probably haven't figured out what to do with the Slider yet......

don_poky

ROFL at the wallpaper and RIBBED FOR THE PLEASURE

jlb21

Damn, that is one fine, nice looking....rack..er....Blackberry.

Loved the wallpaper. I would have just died....died I say if AT&T had actually sent out the devices with that as the default paper......LOL

Jimmyadji

The touch screen..is it has similar "touch & click" like STORM?? No body talk about it., :-(

Seegar

it doesnt click. it's a regular touch screen like you'd find on any other phone

shv580

Totally!
I need one so bad! I currently own the 9700 which I'm in love with; but the Torch is just something out of this world!

folgrz

jlb21

Kevin......you dropped the ball on this one......

You should have had a Kim Kardashian pic there, with her holding her berries...er...berry.

MGraves206

I saw one of these at an AT&T store today...My jaw dropped...they guy wanted so bad to sell it to me...I think I drooled on the case. <3

Seegar

Did you really say you've had this for 10 days and you didnt tell us? Cant believe it.
Crackberry isnt so trustworthy anymore^^ jk nice that RIM or AT&T gave you guys one in advance

Pilot Prop

It doesn't come with a belt clip/carrying case....WHY?!!!!...my 9000 and 9700 came with one....oh well I guess I'll have to just buy one...other than that NO complaints...@ my job we got the a demo model of the 9800 in and I LOVE the way it feels to the hand...the sliding mechanism is amazing too(glad to know its supposed to work for abt 150K slides)...overall size is good...I'm too ready for this!

I had no interest in this until this very moment when I watched the video. Sigh. Someday Verizon... someday. I'm not complaining because I love my Verizon service but the nerdy part of me wants this now.

birdman_36

I love the new packaging! It really makes a statement.

RIM has totally stepped it up with the release of this device.

that_maynard

That is one awesome looking phone! Words can't describe and that is just the unboxing video!

MobileMadness002

I just started service with Telus here so I wont be able to upgrade for "cheap" but I think I am gonna become that person you see, you know the dork that carries 2 BBs around with him. The 70.00 per month will be so worth it. Of course I could probably sell my 9550 and 9000 for like 400 for the both. And pay for the new one out of pocket. BTW, love the comments, ribbed for her pleasure, and if ATT did send it out with that as a default wall paper I would so laugh hysterically I would totally pee myself.

I definitely will be getting one when they are availalble.

blackberry7290nerd

Just wish this was on T-Mobile.

jwsnj3rd

looks cool any guess if and when verizon will get it?

dvlmn

even though no tmo release i may still get it... late more than likely and unlock it to use :) who needs 3G when you got a sweet BB slider ;) lol

blue200316

I guess the default wallpaper which was on this devise was set so people like to "touch" the screen! ;)
