Ooops..seems AT&T has let the cat out of the bag a little bit early on this one. As you can see, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 has just gone live on AT&T website for all too see. Kinda ruined all the fun there AT&T, it's ok though. Stay tuned as we bring you all more information from the live RIM & AT&T event. Thanks everyone for crushing our tips email.

Hope that this wont be an AT&T exclusive

Ditto. ATT coverage in my area is horrible AND I am on a business plan soooo no switching for me. And my contract is ready for an upgrade as early as november too.

"The phone will go on sale August 12, exclusively at AT&T, and will cost $199 with a 2-year contract."

I LOVE IT!!! Really nice smartphone!!

is pretty stupid.. they should have left it at the Slider.. that would have provided a long term identify to the first BB touch screen/keyboard phone..

unless the name "Slider" has already been trademarked or registered... but "Torch?" C'mon RIM... that's pretty weak.

I am looking forward to this phone though.. regardless of what it's called.

BTW... I don't like the name "Torch"... it seems ridicolous... and in Italy that name reminds a weed joint... no joke! :D

We have seen T-Mobile branded 9800

I may consider jumping ship to T-Mobile, but never to AT&T.

I'm about to cry it's beautiful.

Did we know before that it was going to have Wireless-N support?

Also, I think if you follow the link to the AT&T website and look at details, boy do they really talk about it as a major change, next big thing, kind of device. To me, it is catchup.

That being said, as soon as they make a CDMA version for Verizon, I may be all over it!!!!
