The CrackBerry.com "Abuser" Theme for the BlackBerry Curve
Built as present to the CrackBerry.com Community by JC Designs/GadgetBean.com in honor of CrackBerry.com's 1st Birthday, this BlackBerry theme features a unique bottom dock zen layout with shortcuts that move when selected! Static images don't do this theme justice... you need to see it in Action to fully appreciate it! While the shortcuts on the main application screen can be hidden/moved, on the homescreen the dock shortcuts are fixed. Therefore, the CrackBerry.com theme comes in two builds - the User and the Abuser, which are identical except for the shortcuts in the bottom dock, which are arranged as follows:
CrackBerry User: Messages / Phone / BBM / Web Browser / Calendar - A good mix of homescreen shortcuts to the most used native apps on the BlackBerry.
CrackBerry Abuser: Messages / BBM / Media / Options / Profiles - The Phone and Default Web browser shortcuts are removed from the dock for the CrackBerry Abuser - there's no need. You're likely to be looking up contacts dialing directly off the keyboard and are using Opera Mini or the CrackBerry.com Shortcut for your browsing, which require you to dive into your Apps. So to the Abuser we thus add Media, Options, and Profiles - allowing you quick access to all of your Berry's music and tweakable functions.

Requirements:

- Find your OS version under Options > About
To Download:
- Ensure this theme is the correct one for your device
- Device Model must match and meet the OS requirements
- Login to CrackBerry.com
- Click the "Email the theme..." link below. Then enter your BlackBerry device email address and click the "Email me my Theme! button
- You will receive an email on your BlackBerry containing a download link to the theme. Click this link and Install the Theme. You should restart your phone after the installation is complete.

but is there a way to download it my computer and install it while sync-ing? I don't use email on my BB cuz I don't pay for the data plan (I know, I know, THE HORROR !)

Thanks for this! The only thing that I don't like about this and other themes on this site is that the Lock Screen doesnt change with the wallpaper.
Just downloaded both versions and I gotta say.....SOLID WORK!!!
All in all I would say the over all look of the theme is very nice. The animated icons on the home screen are pretty cool as well. The only two problems I have with the theme is the font is way too tiny and I can not put whatever icons (short cuts) on the home screen that I want. I use BBSsmart for email viewing so once the email was open I was able to read them in the font size I wanted. If you have 20/20 vision or better then the font issue is no big deal. Thanks again...
the theme is freakin beautiful...love it!...just one Q: is anybody missing the chat icon from the home screen? should i uninstall and reinstall?? thanks!!
i realized that the chat icon must be for BB messenger, which i do not have installed on my fone...this the icon does not appear...?

Looks great, I was about to download one of them but whats the difference between the abuser and user themes?? which should I download?
The Desktop Install .zip file is corrupt. If I try to download it or open it, it tells me that it is 'not a valid archive' - is there a simple reason for this?

will get this checked out/fixed. answered you in blog post as well. worked fine on our end - double tested. but will check into further. use the OTA download if for whatever reason the desktop manager download is not unzipping properly for you
getting a corrupted file myself... ???
OK, so for anybody who has been trying to download the .zip files for Desktop Manager installation for any of the themes...you may be getting an error saying the .zip file is corrupt when you try to open it.
The .zip files are actually fine - there's a known bug in Internet Explorer when it comes to downloading this kind of file from within our content management system. Our programmer is on it and a fix should be in place SOON.
The workaround - just download using Firefox web browser. It doesn't run into this bug. Other fix is to use the OTA install vs. Desktop Manager install.

This theme is CRAZY! Thank you guys for this.
I had the Aero theme from bbextras on before which I loved but it disappeared after I loaded a new app and couldn't re-install it since he stopped supporting themes a few days after I bought mine (which sucks since he won't refund and won't reply to emails).
But this theme is by far the very best I've seen. I really like the clean layout and design. Good job guys!

I love this theme. One comment or suggestion...since "Profile" is accessible by typing "F" and "options" by typing "o" on the home screen, maybe "Camera" and "Manage Connection" are better as the 4th and 5th icons on the front screen?

I am not able to get the BB Messenger (Chat Icon) to show up on the main screen. It is in the Applications screen fine but not the main screen.

Great Color and function but for some reason, both the abuser and user themes do not show the 2nd icon at the bottom of my screen where the icons are listed. It's just blank...How can I correct that? THanks
