BlackBerry Theme Roundup

October is behind us and the end of the year is quickly approaching. Where has 2010 gone? Looking back at the year, we have seen a lot of great themes in the roundups and in the forums. I think we've done a good job of giving you a wide sample of what's available in the forums and in the store, and maybe given some of you the spark to create your own. We always say at the end, don't forget to send in your creations, or tip us off to what themes you've found that you love. I'm saying it now because I think it's important. Let us know what you want to see more of! Send your themes in to [email protected], and we'll do our best to get them in the roundups.

Now, on to the themes. Don't forget to read to the end of the post for the contest! See you all next week.

Torch

Vivid
Vivid (hidden today) by D Mac
Vivid is a theme for those of you that enjoy having a little more than the standard dark colors of BB6. The bright blues throughout the screens contrast nicely with the white fonts and accents making information pop right off your screen. The icons are custom designed and look great. The homescreen houses 4 user defined icons and a hidden today for up to 10 appointments and messages. At first glance the banner area is very minimalist, just the battery and signal meters and the time, but there is much more there than is first visible:
  • 2 hidden icons that instantly appear when you scroll up to your banner area
  • Hidden icons are: Profiles and Weather
  • Select your battery meter to open Options
  • Select the time to open Clock/Alarm
  • Select your signal meter to open Manage Connections

This theme is really nice and I think there are a lot of Torch users that will be very happy with it. D Mac is kind enough to offer this 100% customized theme for free, so if you download and like it, consider sending a donation his way. Or at the very least, leave a thanks in the forums for him. :)

Paper Theme

Paper Theme by Vimukti Technologies
Paper Theme is one of the coolest girly themes I have seen in a long time. There are so many details packed in to each screen I can't even list them all, and really you need to check out the screen shots to do any sort of justice. You get 5 different backgrounds on the home screen which change when you scroll across the dock. Abstract customized battery and signal meters and unique icons menu backgrounds make this theme very original. Paper Theme is available for most devices, though no Torch version yet. Girls you're going to want to check this one out!

iNtrinsic

iNtrinsic by Vision Mobility
I really like the look of iNtrinsic, a new theme from Vision Mobility. I'm not usually in to iOS inspired themes, but this one made me think twice. Very crisp and clean, this theme is dark but does not hinder visibility and allows you to switch between 4 and 20 icons on your home screen. There is also a hidden today section for your calendar and other today items. iNtrinsic is available for all 480x360 devices on OS 4.6 and above, as well as for the Bold 9000 and the Torch 9800.
