Theme Roundup june 14

I love writing this theme roundup every week, as it gives me the chance to see so many great themes and bring the best of the best to our readers.  The themes we have this week are entirely my own picks, the tip line has been very quiet lately.  Remember to represent your favorite themes and devs by sending an email to themeroundup@crackberry.com. That said, I have some great themes to bring you this week, so hit the jump and let's get to the good stuff.

The buzz this week has been all about the World Cup, with fans from around the world getting excited about all the action. Get into the spirit with this stunning free theme dedicated to the festivities. The homescreen is clear of any icons, allowing complete display of your favorite fan wallpaper. A weather slot in the top right is centered over a soccer ball background, and custom battery and signal meters reside on the bottom.  A great set of custom gold icons round out the theme, making this a very good-looking way to show your pride. Fans of minimal themes will love this one, with the ability to clear everything from the homescreen for the most wallpaper-friendly view possible. Zen-style mini icons are set into a 8-icon hidden dock, and  5 entry hidden today adds to the homescreen functionality.  When the dock is hidden, the owner's name can be displayed on the homescreen, which is a nice touch for those running OS versions that don't allow the lockscreen to be displayed.  One very cool feature about thistheme is the ability to selectively hide the hidden today, or all components of the homescreen via hotkeys.  Even the bluetooth and GPS indicators will disappear when activated, so only your chosen wallpaper shows.  Available in the CB store for $1.99 for 480 x 360 devices running 5.0.

ablutionI came across this theme the other day and fell in love with the look of it right away. The brushed metal background goes perfectly with the look of the docks, making for a visually stunning homescreen.  A uniquely shaped 6 icon (user-defined) static dock resides at the top of the homescreen, and a 4 icon hidden dock brings the applications available up to an even 10. The theme also includes a hidden today and hidden hotspots for even more function, honestly making me miss my Storm. A full set of custom icons and meters round out this beautiful theme, making it a sure hit for any device.  Available for multiple devices in the CB store for $5.99.

Here is a great new free theme for the ladies out there. A hidden dock with 9 user-definedmini icons, hidden today, and weather slot make for a very funstional homescreen. An awesome shade of pink runs throughout the theme, which is fully skinned for maximum effect. as i am awaken by my blackberry alarm. I shower, choose come clothes, then pick up my blackberry and have a look in my theme closet. After looking at one or two, I remember that I have a new one (one that I have won from crackberry), activate it, switch around a few folders. Grab some shoes to match. Now with my keys, newly painted blackberry in hand (compliments of the theme) I'm ready to go. But wait, I gotta give a good morning shout to all my bbm peeps.

I'm a 9550 user and I've been following theme round ups since the launch of the 9530. What I've noticed is that the "Free" themes the round up gives Storm users 97% of the time are low quality with the only exception being Natemz, don't even compare with to the "Free" themes you guys provide to the Bold, Curve, Pearl, Tour models. This is just a trend I've notice for the 95xx users among other things. I wish this could be addressed or an effort made to see a bump in the quality to match that of the other BlackBerry Models. Thanks and CrackBerry4Life!
