Walker Themes has just released HeartBeat, and it is so unique and beautiful, I think a lot of you are going to really love it. With a two-color clock and abstract battery and signal meters as well as a hidden dock and weather slot (activated by the three small circles at the bottom of the screen) on the home screen, its a delightfully minimal look. Your wallpapers will look great with this theme. The text based icons are handmade in blue and white, and when you scroll over them it's as though the focus is breathing, pulsating when you pause on an icon. The BlackBerry PlayBook was released last week, and one of the coolest features it brought with it is the implementation of gestures to help you navigate through different screens and options. GestureBB is the first theme I have seen to bring that functionality to the non-touchscreen BlackBerry! From the home screen you use your trackpad to swipe in each of the 4 directions to access different functions.

  • Swipe down for an options menu from the top of the screen with access to profiles, options, etc.
  • Swipe up and pull up a dock with user-defined 6 icons.
  • Swipe from left to right to open the first application in your device application order.
  • Swipe from right to left for application screen access!

GestureBB is very intuitive and easy to learn. There are two versions of the theme. The first is called GestureBBCandyland, which has a colorful background and retro dimension icons.
