BlackBerry Style Images and Photos

We've been following the evolution of the BlackBerry 9670 since the first photos of it popped up back in April. When it comes to the look of the BlackBerry Style, the opinions have varied. At first the push back was pretty negative on this full-qwerty flip, but as we've come closer to the official announcement and seen more photos and vids pop up on the Style, from my obversations of the comments to date it seems more people are starting to like the look of the Style. I know wasn't a fan of it at the start, but the official press photos and images of the Sprint BlackBerry Style are looking pretty good. I'm actually really loving the look of the Royal Purple - it's not a color scheme I'd rock personally (the Steel Gray would be more my style... or all white of course!) but I can definitely see this one proving to be a hit with all the Sprint BlackBerry ladies out there. I just showed the photos to Miss CB and her reactions we're "it's kinda cute!"
There are plenty more images of the BlackBerry Style below, and for more information be sure to check out can out the BlackBerry Style Announcement, BlackBerry Style Features & Specs page, and BlackBerry Style forum.

And real-time shots. These are almost CGI and they are still painful.

I like it for what it is. There's a market for it.

This phone actually looks much better now than it did when I saw it the first time.
I think that teenagers will absolutely love this configuration. I know if I were a teenager I would love it. RIM should think of doing it in several colors - like red, green, blue, etc...Smiles! That purple is really jammin!
I especially like the front of it when it's closed. Go RIM! Imma have to go over to Sprint and check it out. You know - hold it in my hands for a few minutes.
Peace.....

Haha this is marketed for teens. Get them hooked young, lol, RIM is the new camel cigarettes and this is joe camel.
lazydogrex Oct 18, 2010 at 11:03 am
Do a Sponge Bob version and get 'em hooked even younger

Im not a teen. I am in my mid 20s and absolutely dreaded this phone since im on sprint and verizon AND at&t both have exclusive touch screen blackberry phones. its 2010 and sprint gets a flip phone. i said the only way i would get this phone is if it was purple and had better specs than my tour. it does....minus the battery life. and i'll be damned if they have a purple one. goes great with my purple portfolio, purse, wallet, etc. yay! everyone knows i love purple and BB must have known it too.
geek126 Oct 18, 2010 at 7:46 pm
So is that a no for you on the spongebob model?
geek126 Oct 18, 2010 at 9:43 am
that front display screams for a touchscreen, even if it is just for a message quick read, and calendar option.

~I Completely Agree! The face screen totally needs some super simple touch capabilities even if for nothing more than viewing messages etc.
~As for the color... I Would Love to see it come out in White!... While White Alone is not ideal (In my opinion), White under a transparent color snap case is Protected and truly Stylin'... and more ways to add Style are severely needed with this awkward BB.

It's quite good when it released instead of the leaked pics and simulator!! I think it's good enough with that kind of price!!
aimeeattitude Oct 18, 2010 at 10:19 am
Now that we have actual release images, it looks much better than previous concept photos I've seen. Cute! Looks good in purple.
Vaile23 Oct 18, 2010 at 10:28 am
its quite ugly!

I hate the Curve style button for the menu, back, call, and end. Look at the Sprint logo. That space could have been used for an extra row of keys! So much wasted space!
LCW Oct 18, 2010 at 11:15 am
totally - they could have added a full row of number keys on the top...
BruceR1025 Oct 18, 2010 at 11:07 am
This phone is ugly.

Looks good with color. Might actually sell
joshua.worth Oct 18, 2010 at 1:02 pm
I just picked up a Bold 9650 and put OS 6.0.0.280 on it I'll get this if someone wants to trade me its cheaper than the Bold's price still
joshua.worth Oct 18, 2010 at 1:04 pm
Hurry!
beedubb213 Oct 18, 2010 at 2:15 pm
A touchscreen would be awesome on the front and it would be the first of its kind to have a candybar style flip phone with a touchscreen on the front. I would def get it!!!
joliva Oct 18, 2010 at 4:14 pm
The back of the device must be ugly, why else wouldn't there be a picture of it??
zensen Oct 18, 2010 at 4:38 pm
This is a great phone for those who don't need touch.
Why does this need touch capabilities anyways, even for the front facing screen? It'd be more gimmicky than useful.
There might not be a market for "YOU" but I've seen people still rocking flips especially in other countries that doesn't start with U.
geek126 Oct 18, 2010 at 8:02 pm
It doesn't HAVE to be a touch screen. I'm just sayin that imo the main flaw with a flip phone is its lack of usefulness when its closed. It is very hard to be discreet when checking messages and appointments when you have to flip the phone open(especially during nap time which would be a huge issue with the spongebob edition). And for the record I hate touchscreen phones it is just the trend that is still going strong in the smartphone market, and hard keys would be stupid and ugly on the front of such a stylish device (I hate flip phones even more than touchscreen phones but I really like this one way to go on the design of this phone RIM)

From what I understand, you will be able to preview messages on the external screen with it closed. I would think alarm & calender reminders would also be able to be viewed the same way. (wasn't the pearl flip aka 82XX capable of this?)

Give us the F***ing Torch already!
katscos Oct 21, 2010 at 8:35 am
My husband is surrounded by sawdust all day and would kill a candybar phone quickly. He is excited that he finally gets to move into the world of smart phones and away from his pseudo smart flip phone.

....
PPaws Oct 21, 2010 at 10:38 pm
Gee everyone is so quick to trash this little BB. I kinda like the flip factor, open it and it's on and ready to go. close it and that's that. Not the best thing to put a Torch or Bold in the butt pocket! Anyway, I would love it in white as well. I will definitely check it out...
bloocracker Oct 22, 2010 at 9:54 am
I completely agree that this phone is geared toward teens and in that market I think it will do fantastic, especially if they make it in other colors. That purple is beautiful. I say red, blue and even yellow would look awesome as well.
JNM Oct 25, 2010 at 12:23 am
I am currently using a Nexus One and an HD2. I have not yet switched to a Sprint device even though I now work for the company. This is the phone that will make me make a switch...at least on one line.
metal_arkgray Oct 25, 2010 at 8:13 pm
is it available now?
That70sGAdawg Oct 29, 2010 at 12:36 am
On the back? in the hinge??
