Wow, and with no fanfare, I wonder why the lackluster promotion?
this has already been addressed .They were waiting for Storm1 os upgrade
i want to know where my upgrade offer is, they owe us storm 1 owners an upgrade for beta testing their phone so they could make this revised product.
I'm not a Verizon customer, but why do you think they owe you an upgrade. AT&T didn't offer an upgrade for IPhone or Iphone 3G instantly. Why does everyone want something for free??
we don't want anything for free, he's just saying we should be able to upgrade with out any fees, just for the regular 2 yeaar price and I agree with him. It would be the right thing to do instead of making us pay the full price.
but id be more excited if it were Rogers instead, lol. But awesome regardless.
nice shot of the back of the phone.... lol
I just thought it was shy and wanted to hide it's face of shame. I kid, I kid.
Yeah but if you want to upgrade you can't order online...damn VZW...oh well I'll pick mine up at the store tomorrow morning
They won't even let you look at the phone if you are logged in.
if its like the Storm1 good luck getting one tomorrow
First shipment was for 30. tomorrow is inventory for some stores so more will arrive fedex today and tomorrow
Not only did I get one, but I got 2 of them;). I was the first one sitting in the parking lot at 9:50 for the store to open at 10. I ended up being the second one in the que to upgrade my phone as I wasn't standing in the rain when there was no one there. An older couple walked up to the door just as they were unlocking it. The store got 35 of them in for today. I think they will be ok. For those that are complaining about the MIR, I walked out without paying a penny today, the whole bill got charged to my account. I am allowed 250 per line for a total of 500 since i was upgrading 2 lines. I will have the rebate card before I pay that bill and can just apply it right to the phone bill.
You can now order even if you already have an account....though you could just wait for the store to open at this point.
because it wont gimme the option to add a line or buy it full retail. i guess i have to go in the store.
i went as far as the checkout thing and it told me that i had to call
just order mine cant wait for thursday to get here maybe it will come later today dought it though
with the 5.0 software on the original storm , and the storm 2 having wifi and a improved screen , what could they possibly do with a 3rd generation of the storm?
Full blown web browser and more powerful CPU to handle it.
Make one with software that actually works?? Just sayin.....
you must havent tried the new software on the original storm. the phone is flawless
hmm im going from att to Verizon because of the storm. I jest tried to order it online and it looks like with a BB I have to chose a BB email option. is that true??? is ther any way around?? with att you don't have to.
Verizon makes you purchase their data package, which includes the BB email option. That includes your text, email, and internet. I think it's $25.00. That's the downside and what limits some people from purchasing BB's with Verizon. Even though I couldn't comprehend having one without internet, e-mail, or text.
no its $29.99
and txt message is extra. so the lowest you'll pay a month with taxes and recovery something or other is close to $100 hmmm currently on my curve with att im paying 59.04 including 200 txt msg hmmmm hmmmm
My wife has a curve with VZW with Unlimited Data/Txt/Email and 450min for $70 (total after taxes). She was paying $80 and she could get 900min + Friends & Family but never used that much.
what about the other option for $44 whats that?
that is for is so you can get Corporate email pushed to your phone.
At&t announced on Sept. something that all of there pda's/blackberrys will require their internet package so, no reason not to go with Verizon for a blackberry if you get better service. Because either you'll be playing 30 bucks extra a month.
ya I read that too but maybe because im a current customer they are not adding internet....maybe if i update to the bold2 they probably will...so i might jest buy the storm2
WOW they are not letting any online orders happen with this phone I am not even logged in and it wont even display the phone I guess it means we have to wait until the original business day to kick off to order it online
I didn't see anything about the BOGO, and it let me get as far as checkout, but I don't want to complete it without the BOGO. This is my first time using the Verizon Online store, so don't know if I'm doing something wrong. Any help?
and it didn't give me the bogo it gave me a total of $4 hundred and something...
I was just in the process of ordering my storm2 and Verizon took it off the site WTF?????????????????
hmm its still available on my end
still there
Does it still have the 160 sms limit?
from what i understand , thats a cdma thing. if you look at sprint they also have 160 limit . it doesnt bother me anymore with the threaded text
Yes it's a CDMA thing. I've never found it that big of a hassle. There are some blackberry programs that allow you to type more and it sends it in multiple texts.
Dealers price of this phone is $505 and with these BOGO deals.......I just love how they screw dealers and most of the time corporate locations can't even match these promos either.
does this phone have a sim card like the first one where it does both sim + cdma?
Yes
the sim is gsm, for when you go over seas
Just purchase it took a long time to order they where updating the systems, it came out around 12:15 est. if you have trouble towards the end if takes you off line just reload the page and it will tell you it's in your cart.. hope this helps you also had such a bad experience with that chat window that pops up when your ready to order wow what an A** they had me on hold for over 20 min and this was on chat i did not even asked for it lol anyways i'm getting my Storm 2 hoping by Thurs....i can breath now..FYI not the Asurion Ins. for the Storm went up to 6.00. anyways i'm siked..
Doesn't show up on my business discount page. Guess I'll wait until the morning and see if it shows then. I'm not getting a plan without my 20% discount and 25% on accessories :)
So Im taking it that current customers cant upgrade. Everytime I try to upgrade my Storm to the Storm 2 the the phone doesn't show up as an option. But when i log out its available. Anyone have the same issue? I really want the phone, BAD case of the BB syndrome right now.
u need to click on the BlackBerry file
Yes, thats what I did. When im logged in, every blackberry will show up for upgrade availability other than the 9550. Could it be that im not eligible or what?
you should be, i'm up for upgrade and at first it was not showing on the upgrade list than i click on the black berry folder than it was there, and i was able to order the upgrade...
