The picture says "MiFi capability" at the end of the first paragraph. Huh?! I'm assuming its supposed to be "WiFi".

I think the 'MiFi' is their portable wireless access point if I remember correctly. Its like and air card but multiple devices and hook up to it via WiFi connection.

The mifi is the size of a credit card and fits anywhere, its the wifi device that is used to connect up to 5 (including iphone)devices to it. Trust me I would know =^_^=

They haven't even announced it yet. So a launch just 4 days away seems unlikely at best.

The question was asked earlier but there wasn't much of a response...

Is it possible that the Storm2 will be able to function as a MiFi (use the WiFi capability to pump out the 3G service creating a small hotspot)?

Haven't seen anything like that hinted at yet, but at first glance it doesn't seem as thought it would be all that difficult to implement... tethering, just via WiFi as opposed to USB.

Thoughts?

No. Just as a tether device with USB, but you can go to a out source site and have unlimited tether for like $50 or $60 i think its called tetherberry.com.....not too sure...

When you say recently updated: we talking about before or after the blog was edited removing the date?

Well you know Verizon had to squash any info that was leaked Just for the business? I still believe Sal's version. So i will go with that for now.

OK guys, I know you're going to see I'm new to the forum, but don't let this be a factor in your decision to believe me or not. Trust me, I have been stalking this phone since it was first released, I'm just not one to put in my opinion.

Today after work, I stopped in to the Verizon store to see if they had the Storm 2 in because I had read in an earlier post that they were going to be available today. Luckily, the store was quiet and I was able to inquire with the manager in earshot. After being told the phone was not in by one of the associates and as I was about to exit, the manager stops me and says, "It'll be in 10/21" and gives me an agreeable look.

Though I was cautious to believe his advise, this post makes me fully believe that he was telling the truth!

I believe that it will definitely be coming out on the 21st!
Likely the quietest official launch of any major product ever.

But I do fully believe that BlackBerry has been good about that in the past, and they suck it up and get all of the details ready before they even say anything to anybody....

then they "Announce" it and BAM its in your face, because they've spent all of their time making sure it's ready when they "announce"

...unlike all the other big companies who "announce" something then it's like 2 years later when it comes out....**COUGH**Apple,Microsoft,Sony**COUGH (etc)
