The Jeopardy game features great graphics and sound, new content every day, and tough computer opponents. Wheel of Fortune is much of the same. Great graphics, new puzzles all the time... and just plain fun for those that are fans of the gameshow. Sorry, no Pat Sajak or Vanna... the game will have to do for now.

Zkout BetaZkout Beta

Zkout beta is somewhat like Twitter and Facebook all rolled into one. It lets you send out messages based on your location, and lets you update your status Facebook style so that your friends always know what you're currently doing (if you really want them to know!). There are already a ton of apps out there just like this one, (Loopt, and SpotJots to name a few) so I'm not sure where this one fits in just yet. Hopefully they're working on a new version that makes them better than all the other choices out there.

Verizon Gets AIM & ICQ

Verizon users can now get on two of the more popular messaging services around, namely AIM & ICQ (well, I guess ICQ USED to be popular!?). There were numerous reports and press releases the other day noting that AIM & ICQ should now work worldwide on most carriers. So far all I can tell is that these to services now work on Verizon. I'd appreciate it if you could try out these apps on your Berry, and let me know if it did or did not work... and what carrier you're on! Deal? Deal!

NFL Mobile Live for BlackBerryNFL Mobile Live

As I mentioned earlier in the week, there's a new NFL Mobile Live app. With the season well under way, I have a feeling this one is going to get a LOT of use on Sundays and Mondays! The app is free and provides live scoring updates, video and audio of games as they happen. Judging from most comments from my post, the app seems to be largely working for most folks. But I think it might run into some issues on the Bold. At any rate it's orth a shot, it's free... why not!?

To try it out head over to http://softwarestore.sprint.com/wap/NFLmobile.php from your Berry.

I most definitely used AIM on my 8330 on Verizon after having grabbed it yesterday. It works.

Wheel of Fortune on the Handmark site does not show/list anywhere that t is compatable for RIM/BB devices. what gives?

Anonymous

I looked for it one day and it was there. Another day it was gone. I think they may be having issues with their bb content. Who knows.

ukabdale

AIM will not install on my 8310 v4.5.0.55

"Sorry, your device does no meet the system requirements that are needed to support AOL Instant Messenger for Blackberry"

I am on O2 in the UK.

I have used NFL Mobile Live program for a week now on my 8330, and have not had any issues -it's great to have the radio feed when you are not able to watch the game.

lamonicaj

I created a page for myself....it works, however, I don't think it is very practical....the person who you want to call needs to be sitting in front of a computer.

I tried making the call from my Curve & I got an error msg!

hmmmm

CO_BBTechie

Yeah so it looks like Jeopardy is not available for the BlackBerry either.

squash

Just tried this out. Until they come out with a Blackberry app, it's just not very convenient. It should also automatically update your location via cell towers or GPS. Right now, you have to actually to the site on your browser, and manually type in your location, THEN type your update. Kind of a pain.

Is there a bb app that updates your twitter status AND facebook status?

missadrienneg

Yea link says something about a test page.
