dialByWord is a phone app that lets you dial numbers by using numbers AND text. For example, 1.800.ABC.DEFG. There's a letter to number translation built-in. In the dial field, you just type in text and use alt/shift to enter numbers. Translated digits are displayed for you in the call field. Then just select 'call' to place the call. Easy!

Bold users will be happy to know a new OS has been found 'in the wild'. OS 4.6.0.167 can be found right here. I must warn however, do not install this if you are unsure what to do. If you mess up it could be more trouble than it's worth. I don't want anyone messing up their Bold!

BeamReader Native PDF Viewer
BeamReader is a native PDF Viewer that displays all original PDF fonts. The good thing about this is it will display all fonts, images and formatting exactly as it would look on your PC. There's no server-side pre-processing involved in viewing PDF documents, so rendering is done fast and locally right on your BlackBerry. This fact makes BeamReader very secure because PDF's never leave your Berry for server-side conversion.
