Facebook for BlackBerry has gone to version 1.2. There appears to be only one fix in this version however. In this updated version they have removed the 'is' from the status update page. Everything else seems to be the same... So, if the status update page is really bothering you, why not go ahead and update.

Free Flickr Upload App
RIM recently released a free Flickr app for the BlackBerry. With it, you can take a picture with your Berry, and immediately upload it to Flickr right from your device. Cool! You can choose or create a destination album, tag the photos or even geotag your photos if you're running a Berry with built-in GPS.

Free Message Archive Service from Dexrex
Dexrex is a free add-on for archiving instant & SMS messages. Simply sign-in with your screen name, download the plugin, and 'start saving your world one message at a time'.
With Dexrex you can store all of your IMs and SMS text safely in an online account. You can find links, phone numbers and more by searching and analyzing your archives...and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

MyPoynt Beta
MyPoynt is a free all-in-one local search tool that connects you to retailers and theatres at the moment you want to buy products or services. You simply enter your search terms, and with a GPS enabled Berry you are able to find businesses and theatres near your location. From there you can get phone and address info, interactive maps and even movie reviews and the ability to purchase movie tickets.
John Lowe, CEO of the developer 'Multiplied Media' says:
“We’ve received an overwhelming response from everyone we’ve demonstrated the application to. The application is far more intuitive than using a web browser on a mobile device.”

U.S. Open Mobile Leaderboard
The U.S. Open got under way on Thursday at Torrey Pines, and if you're into following golf at all you'll want to check this out. U.S. Open Mobile has released a 'mobile leaderboard' for free. It allows you to keep track of scoring and stats in real-time...and also has blogs, breaking news, alerts and more, all right from your Berry.
It's easy to install. To start, click here and select your carrier and enter your phone #. The USGA will send you a download link. Alternatively, you can visit mobile.usopen.com for all the latest scoring and news.

CitySense Alpha for BlackBerry
This wicked little app is currently only available in San Francisco... But I had to write about it, because it looks really cool and I like the idea behind it.
CitySense tracks your movements and the movements of others to give everyone on the application an idea of what is going on in the area. If something big is happening, you'll notice a confluence of red dots on the map... 'Hey, something must be going on there!' I could see this being useful for hunting down hot night-life spots to have a few drinks...and there are probably other applications I haven't thought of... But hey, just thought it was kind of cool.

While traveling on the road, have you ever had a heck of a time finding Gas... Food... or, em... Lodging? Well, enter GasFoodLodging.Mobi. The mobile site aims to point you in the right direction for your needs when you're on the road. It is a US only site, and to use it you need to enter either a City or State... or your current ZIP code. Very handy tool.
