CitySense for BlackBerryCitySense Alpha for BlackBerry

This wicked little app is currently only available in San Francisco... But I had to write about it, because it looks really cool and I like the idea behind it.

CitySense tracks your movements and the movements of others to give everyone on the application an idea of what is going on in the area. If something big is happening, you'll notice a confluence of red dots on the map... 'Hey, something must be going on there!' I could see this being useful for hunting down hot night-life spots to have a few drinks...and there are probably other applications I haven't thought of... But hey, just thought it was kind of cool.

For more info on CitySense click here.

GasFoodLodging.MobiGasFoodLodging.Mobi

While traveling on the road, have you ever had a heck of a time finding Gas... Food... or, em... Lodging? Well, enter GasFoodLodging.Mobi. The mobile site aims to point you in the right direction for your needs when you're on the road. It is a US only site, and to use it you need to enter either a City or State... or your current ZIP code. Very handy tool.

To try it out visit http://gasfoodlodging.mobi on your Berry's browser.

BlackBerry Software Roundup for June 13th, 2008!

Try to download again .. make sure you hit refresh on the download page to get the new version. I snagged it and its works fine for me.

Man that browser looks sweet true tab browsing would be really nice plus it's Mozilla so you know it will work like a champ. I can't wait to see that come out.

What is wrong with Dexrex?
I tried to sign in with the verification code they sent me, but it always says: "Hmm, that doesn't match the one we sent you. You can send yourself another one, or try typing it in again."
Even after I re-send different codes from the website, it still does the same thing.
Has anyone encounter the same problem?

I had the problem, but finally got it to catch. Had it running all weekend but it didn't log any of my SMS - not sure why.

We're sorry to hear that Dexrex isn't working for you guys! If you can answer a couple quick questions, we'll look into the problem right away. If you don't want to post it publicly, just drop us a line at http://www.dexrex.com/Contact.php.

1) What version of BB OS is your phone running?
2) When you open the Dexrex application on your BlackBerry, what does it say next to "Server"?

Thanks, we'll do our best to fix it for you right away!

Oh wow that is way too exciting for words. This is the web browsing that I have been waiting for. Anybody know any expected release dates?

James, thanks for including us in the roundup! I'm the Evangelist for Dexrex, and just wanted to mention a couple of things we're doing to improve Dexrex even more.

First, we’re planning to release a Mac version sometime soon. We're also building a whole new version of the BlackBerry SMS Extension that will be completely international (no matter what carrier you use).

If you or any of your readers want to get in touch with us, just visit http://www.dexrex.com/Contact.php. We read every email we get, and always welcome user feedback!
