VyMail - Visual Voicemail for YouMail

This one has actually been around for a bit, but for some reason it has slipped through our fingers in the blogs here at CrackBerry. VyMail is a free visual voicemail client for YouMail. Reports around the web peg this one as a 'must have', especially for Verizon users (no need to sign up for their visual voicemail if you use this app... apparently!). In order to use it, you'll need to sign up for a free YouMail account. YouMail (if you haven't heard of it) is a service that you can forward to your Berry's voicemail in order to activate some pretty cool features.

StormLock

StormLock is a new app for your BlackBerry Storm (duh!) that does one simple thing... It prevents your face from accidentally touching the screen while on calls. No more worrying about making accidental screen presses while on the phone. The app automatically activates when you take a call. It's simple and easy to use, and if you've ever experienced accidental screen presses while on the phone... You'll want to get this.

Ez Weight Tracker

Trying to lose weight? Tracking your weight on a daily basis is an effective way to motivate yourself and stay on top of your progress. I'm no wine expert, but if I was, or was aspiring to be, I'd probably pick up this app. Wine of the Day is chalked-full of information on all types of wine and champagne. Platypus for the BlackBerry Pearl

Platypus is a cool game that has become somewhat of a classic for the Mac and PC. I first played it years ago on a Mac, and right away I got a kick out of the game. Platypus is a side-scrolling arcade shooter... But you'll notice when you start playing the game, there's one difference... Everything in the game looks like it's made of clay! That's right, the whole game looks like one big claymation production. Kinda cool. The game is kinda fun, and I do recommend it to any Pearl owners out there looking for a good game to add to their collection.

tiggit mail

tiggit mail is an email client that gives you access to your email without needing a service contract. Connect to email provides like AOL, Google Mail, Yahoo! mail and more... all from your personal or corporate BlackBerry. Profiler

Need to run different profiles on your Berry? Profiler lets you run up to 16 scheduled profiles, which can all be scheduled to activate at different times of the day. BilbyLight

Not too much new in the way of free software for your Berry this week. One app that did stand out (for free) however was BilbyLight. With this app you can, well... turn your BlackBerry into a flashlight of sorts. I have to admit I've used my berry as a 'flashlight' for a little extra light on occasion... If I had this handy little app I probably would have have more light to work with :) It's a freebie, and heck, you never know you just might need it one day, so it's worth a look/download.

Cool Stuff

Trapster.com

I think I may have touched on this one way back... but it's been awhile so here it is again :) Trapster is a handy service for your BlackBerry that alerts you as you approach police speed traps. If you've got a 'lead foot', you'll want to pick this up right now. Trapster uses GPS, voice transcription, geocoding, reverse geocoding, SMS and much more to communicate with a central database server.

Bottom line, give trapster a try and you might avoid that next nasty speeding ticket.

Homes for Sale

Want to find that perfect new home? Now you can, all direct from your BlackBerry! From Smarter Agent, a very cool app called Homes for Sale has hit the interwebs, and so far it's looking like it's a hit! The app is free (woohoo!). Search for properties from your Berry using GPS or by entering a city, community, address or zip code. The app displays all publicly available information on home sales, including price, square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and much more.
