The annual Mobile Choice Consumer Awards is here again and the nominations are up. A few BlackBerry devices have made it into four categories of the Awards, with two models finding their way into more than one category.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 has been nominated for Best Handset for Social Networking and the ultimate award of Phone of the Year. The BlackBerry Curve 9320 is nominated for Best Value Phone and also for Best Handset for Social Networking. We also find the Porsche Design BlackBerry P'9981 being nominated in the Awards for Best Design.
Both the Bold 9900 and Curve 9320 look to be good contenders, especially the Curve 9320 for Best Value Phone. It certainly is great little device, giving you the whole BlackBerry experience, packaged into a small, sleek device and adding the BBM hotkey.
Let's get behind Team BlackBerry and get voting for our favorite devices. You can also be in for a chance to win a smartphone in the process.

I switched from BlackBerry 10 to BlackBerry 7 and survived!
As I'm sure most of you already know, last weekend Kevin, James and I headed to Montreal to check out the Canadian Grand Prix — and we had an amazing time. I drove up from New Jersey with a friend of mine, but it wasn't until the day before that it dawned on me that I wouldn't have any phone service once hitting the Canadian border. Since I rarely leave the country I don't carry an...

Don't get me wrong - the 9900 was an awesome powerhouse for those of us that wanted the best communication device on the market, but that was a few years back. Where I find...
I hope the BlackBerry Classic's trackpad lights up and powers down like it does on the Bold 9900
Or more specifically, I hope like the BlackBerry Bold 9900, there is a ring or design element around the BlackBerry Classic's trackpad that lights up for notifications, and is last to turn off when the screen / keyboard backlighting powers down. I had this realization when I was out for dinner with my cousin Vinny on the weekend. He was on his Bold 9900 all night, and the room was...
The real reason My Cousin Vinny downgraded from the BlackBerry Z10 to a Bold 9900 and is waiting on the Classic...
"Because I can use it way better while driving" Ok, Ok. Now before you go ripping Vinny apart in the comments, let me tell the full story here. My cousin Vinny isn't Joe Pesci. He's actually the guy below. And Vinny isn't technically my cousin. In reality, he's my fiancée's godmother's sister's daughter's boyfriend (and that's the truth). He's also a hardcore BlackBerry user. Not...
