Although the BlackBerry 'Rio' might not be the most long awaited device in BlackBerry history, it still appears to be arriving at some point. The latest sign of its existence comes by way of accessory listings that have now started appearing across several third-party sites, in the same way the BlackBerry Passport accessories and BlackBerry Classic accessories such as the OEM sync pods and cases did before their eventual release. According to the listings, here's what accessories will likely be arriving in time for the Rio release:
- BlackBerry Leather Flip Shell Case - Black, Military Green, Storm Blue
- BlackBerry Leather Pocket Case - Black, White
- BlackBerry Leather Swivel Holster - Black
- BlackBerry Screen Protector - 2 Pack
- BlackBerry Modular Sync Pod with USB Cable
Depending on where you look, there's different release dates for everything mentioned but most claim by the 'end of February'. Considering BlackBerry still hasn't made the 'Rio' official in any way aside from a few mentions in the BlackBerry 10 OS, there's still lots of time left to get things geared up and ready for release. Sidenote: There's still no mention of a go-to-market device name for the Rio either. It's still noted as the Z20 in many spots though I'd be surprised if BlackBerry actually went with that.
