This app doesn't show on the App World in France.. Why ???

Great, another app that only works in US and Canada (like BBM Music and many others).
RIM, what is the point in not making such apps available to many countries.
You don't care? You leave it to Apple and Android?

Saying it "works" only in US and Canada is a bit of a stretch. Even the new version has yet to pick up subscribed podcasts that I KNOW are available.

Sad to see a company not getting the basics right.

When did Apple manage to bring a working podcast solution to the market (the *whole* market)? Was it 2004 or 2005?

I tried desperately to switch to using BB Podcast for a while and it was really quite painful.
At the time, I listened to the following podcasts: The Nerdist, CBC Spark, CBC Quirks and Quarks, The Bugle, Jay and Silent Bob Get Old, WTF with Marc Maron, and This Is My Next Podcast.

I was unable to add The Bugle at all, despite trying multiple times and ways (RSS feed, URL, etc).
Jay and Silent Bob Get Old and This Is My Next had to be added manually as they were not in the database. The manual add process is far from intuitive.
All podcasts seem to be one or two weeks behind the current release. Occasionally I could force a refresh to get a new podcast, but most often not.

The biggest beef I had though was with the usability while listening. It did not do a good job of remembering where I was in the podcast. If I listened to part of a podcast, then exited out, getting back to playing the podcast was a pain. It would not remember which podcast I was listening to, forcing me to open up BB Podcast, scroll to find the Podcast, scroll through the list of episodes and select the one I was listening to. It would then start playing from the PREVIOUS place I had last stopped (i.e. two listenings ago).

I also use an iPod Touch and had been a heavy user of podcast listening with it. The experience thereis night and day. It auto syncs the latest pdocasts, always seems to be up to date, remembers exactly where I was in the podcast (and "rewinds" a magical few seconds when you start playing again), and if I am in the middle of listening to something and exit the music player, takes me right back to where I was when I first open it instead of having to find everything manually each time.

Guess which device I use to listen to podcasts right now??

I think it was operating okay, though i updated Tether right after this rebooted. Tether never even got through the download and my 9650 went to white screen nothingness. Endless attempts to reboot, battery pull, Safe Mode, etc. all failed. Ended up using Restore feature on BlackBerry Desktop to revive my phone, and now in the long process of putting everything back onto my phone. My guess is something changed that interferes with downloads through AppWorld. On my reinstall I am avoiding this app. Massively frustrating though at least the latest MacOS desktop software actually worked to restore my phone. The first re-install I am doing is BlackBerry Protect, which I hope will reload my recent messages.

Well I heard that this was supposed to fix problems with updating subscriptions. Thing is the one installed on my 9810 did just that perfectly, this one broke it. I get a notification, but have to refresh manually. What a blow!

This new release seems worse than the old one. Since installing it I haven't gotten a single podcast update and a manual refresh of each channel does nothing. I'm dead in the water here.

Does this app work with OS 7.1 9900...I get "unavailable for my device" in AppW for my current os 9900/7.0.0.540
