Not true, I received and email from Bell on the 18th announcing that they were carrying it thru their stores and The Source

Hi Adam, it might be the third one, Bell has been selling the Playbook online and on Source stores since April 19th... Telus is selling it on the website since April 19th....

"Unfortunately, the phone you are looking for is not available for purchase on www.rogers.com. "

If it was there before, it's not anymore.

Also, it is a good idea to keep track of the Playbook Deals, in Canada:

a)Bell - 100 Mail in Rebate for your Playbook if purchased with a Blackberry Torch, 50 if purchased with 9780/9700 Bold

b)Source - 100 off your Playbook if purchased with a Blackberry Torch, 50 if purchased with 9780/9700 Bold

c)Mobilicity - (small carrier but they also are selling the Playbook since April 19th) 100 Mail in Rebate for your Playbook if purchased with any cell phone (Until May 15th)

d)Staples - 200 in savings in accessories when purchasing your Playbook

e)Sears - 3 Month installment plan with your Sears Card and 15 day no questions asked return policy. Also, if randomly selected, your Playbook will be free and you'll be credited with your purchase.

If I find more deals I'll post them, but something to consider when buying it....

Hey thanks for this. I was planning on buying from staples, how does that $200 worth of accessories deal work? Sounds to good to be true?

from the staples site:

Over $200 in Coupon Savings on PlayBook Accessories!
Receive an exclusive coupon savings book with the purchase of a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Offers expire May 30, 2011.

Hey Adam

"The prices are the same across the board with the 16GB, 32GB adn 64GB coming in at $499, $599, and $699 respectively."

Might want to fix the "adn" in that sentence :)

Just passed the Bell Store in the Eaton Centre (downtown Toronto) and they have PBs and are advertising their discount with a BB purchase

Maybe the "bonus" is special hidden software to detect if you are tethering. That way they can determine if they should jump on the bandwagon and charge a massive fortune for you to use the same data you already bought for your phone.

I've recently blogged why I'm passing by the Playbook (but not for the reasons that many reviewers have mentioned). See - Do I Buy a RIM Playbook? Or a Hamster? http://bit.ly/fHabXV

That doesn't mean that there is not potential for this device. I have a follow up blog entry - 10 Reasons why you should buy a RIM Playbook today. http://bit.ly/hoRqoC

Buy one for the right reasons.
