Why does he get to play with one and i don't T-T. Btw looks really cool and these are getting me more excited for the release. btw other then the initial browser load everything is fast and snappy. I love the clicking sounds from the keyboard. OMG REAL YOUTUBE!!!! not youtube mobile weeeeeee.

Even with real flash/youtube. if that was engadget reviewing the device they would lambaste it for whatever reason (quantity of apps maybe) and because of a mis-cued swipe say it's unresponsive and they cannot fathom why anyone would want it over an ipad 2. Then again who goes to engadget for reviews?

Wow WTF is with the CHECKERBOARDING. This was on WIFI? G-d help RIM if this browser releases like that. Sorry; But with a dual core and graphics processing and QNX and it is STILL checkerboarding while loading and scrolling - - that is not really acceptable.

I wish these people who review would note what % the battery is at the start then compare the battery usage when they have finished. From what I could see there after 11 minutes of high usage it didn't move a smidgen. One of the most in-depth demoes we have seen, even if 'Matt' hadn't used one before.

Hope the final version of the web browser will be much more polished. In that video, loading is not exactly fast and scrolling/zooming looked a bit broken or at least needs some "calibration". Other than that, everything look very good.

I wonder if swiping from the top will do anything in Need For Speed?

Nice to see a non-RIM person using it so easily. Shows that it's pretty intuitive once you've spent a few minutes with it. I think the size is perfect... big enough for good visibility and small enough to be portable.

love the video....UI did seem unresponsive at times but I think that's the users fault (he didn't seem to know how to activate the application switching gestures from the bezel)......I personally would like to see more of the options menu like the device info screen for one....on another note: I see "navigation" at the bottom of the menu. that makes me wonder if the wifi version will work just like a standalone GPS navigation unit as in no need for an internet connection or to have it tethered to a BB.

Did anyone else notice he said that he wasn't going to click on the bbm icon because he didn't have it connected to his bb phone? What does that mean as far as bbm stand alone on the pb goes?

BBM uses data to work. BBM will most likely be available for the 3G/4G versions but obviously not for the unconnected WIFI version.

I have to admit that I like what I'm seeing every time they put out a new video of the PlayBook in action. I think it's the perfect size to bridge the gap between my smartphone and my laptop.

Thank yoooou!

I was hoping to see a "real" demo and not some rep like those of you before me have mentioned. It reassures me that passing the iPad2 line in Menlo Park Mall in NJ was worth it. I like rim and dig their style, but able to deliver what it is that suits me.

This demo really hits the nail on the head for me and I have to say I am satisfied. I played with both Samsung's tab and the "Hello Moto" Xoom, but to be quite honest with you the Samsung was just a big phone and the Xoom......well.....I actually saw it to be quite difficult to maneuver within the OS. Honestly I've always had a hard time getting in and out of something ever since the color led StarTAC phones (I was in 9th grade then mind you).

I will end my comment with the fact that the turtle won the race with the hare - take you're time RIM. You'll be there before the rest of them...........polish that shit up already.

imagine when they make the QNX phone

I am angry at RIM for not releasing this device or at least giving us fans a date, but I have to say, that demo made me fall in love with the playbook all over again. I can now see the possibilities and potential once the popularity grows.

the blackberry name on the bezel should have a LED behind it so they can use that as a way for notifications.
now that would be cool

oh hi elmo :)

SLOOOW. Tetris the camera, the browser - - even Elmo. It's all pretty damn slow. Hoping things are rocking by April 10th. I think most analysts agree at this point, RIM gets one last chance to make a good first impression.
