Any news when/if Verizon will be getting this phone. My Mom wants a Blackberry, but doesn't like the "open-face" feature of the other models. As she typically throws her phone in her purse (like most women) this was be Great for her.
VZW will be getting it. I do not know when. It is in our system and my supervisor is using it. I expect it to be out soon. Usually sups get it a few weeks at most before launch. Usually.
I bought this phone on the 7th in the morning and one day later couldn't be happier it is my first BB and I think it is a good phone to introduce people to blackberry. I love the message preview on the external display you can look to see if it is worth responding to without flipping it open. I switched from the original HTC touch and this BB is just so much better in every way except that it won't ring and vibrate at the same time like the touch would but that is a small price to pay for such a wonderful device.

Try downloading "BUZZME" from BigTinCan.com. I use it on my 8130. I assume it would also work on the Flip. Very simple and FREE app.
I will be getting this as soon as verizon comes out with it.. Hurry up!!!!!
