While we've already seen the highly-anticipated BlackBerry P'9983 "Khan" in various renders and photos, some more images have turned up today that reaffirm the device is real — even if the images are as fuzzy as can be.

It's tough to make out anything new or exciting from the images, but we already know most (if not all) of the specs for the P'9983 — so not much is left up in the air at this point. This guy will be sporting a 3.1-inch 720x720 OLED display, 64GB of storage, a full physical keyboard, and a 2100mAH battery.

It goes without saying that this device will have some great quality materials that include stainless steel accents. If you want to own one, you better start stashing some cash in your sock drawer as it's expected to once again fetch over $2k USD.

Are you interested in a P'9983? Or is it too much for you? Sound off in the comments!

Ugly phone. Seriously 3.1 inch screen? BlackBerry needs to make keyboard phones with bigger screens. At least between 3.5 to 4 inches

 Posted via CB10 on my  Z30

Yes but I think he means all physical phones. Not just Q10 Q5 and this phone. Nobody wants a 3 inch phone anymore. It's 2014 not 2007. Get it together BlackBerry, one 4.5 inch physical keyboard phone isn't going to pull you out of trouble.

Posted via CB10

Totally agree with you 100%!!!

We re not in 2005/06/07/08/09/10/11/12 /13 and heck even 2014.

Screens on phones are getting bigger and bigger. Majority of ppl want bigger screens. 5' inch isn't enough for some. They want 5'5 inch or more.

But realistically as if now 4'2/4'4 inch is the least for all touch phones!

Phones with keyboards starting from the q10 should be 3.5' inch to 4. Well done with 4'5 inch BlackBerry Passport!

I was about to mention the same thing. I'm may open a business of selling 50" Plasma screen phones with very high capacity batteries. You must arrange for a truck pickup yourself :)

It's funny that you know what everyone wants ;)
There are many people that don't want to carry a smart TV device as a telephone in a few years ;) I hope you save some money for the backpack ;)

I have no problem with smaller displays and I know many people that buy q5 or q10 because of the keyboard of course and the lower screen

Wenn du das Weinen verlernt hast, bist du bereits tot (Sayumi Whisp)

I like the smaller device.

Are there times when a larger screen would be nice? Sure.

But having a lightweight, discrete device is more preferable to me.

(I use a Q10)

Posted via CB10

Q10 is still rather large. Compare it to a Bold 9780 for example! Look at how many people buy iPhone 5/5S or 4S still because of their small size. Even BBOS devices are selling for more $ than any BB10 devices and size might have something to do with it, especially for those who carry 2 devices.

Hi Sayumi
I actually do know what customers want, you can easily tell from the sales. BlackBerry is now below 1% market share! 4 years ago they were over 40%, what happen? I'm sure it's 3inches didn't help when other phones that were at 4inches or more. Now customers want 5+inches. Take the Samsung Galaxy and Notes, they have always been one step ahead of others in processors, ram, cameras, and screen size! Note 4 this month has next year specs! Yes Q10 was well liked for BlackBerry fans but it didn't attract everyone. I'm a physical keyboard BlackBerry user but I actually enjoyed the Z10's keyboard, now Z30. The screen size hurts the Q10, bottom line. If the BlackBerry Q10 was a 4 inch physical keyboard phone, it would have helped sales I'm sure. Just because you're happy with 3.1 inch screens, it doesn't mean 99% of the smartphone market share buyers are.. statistics shows!

Thanks for listening.

Right you are Mr.

I sold off my iphone 5 to get the Q10. Loving it so far (5 months)

- physical keyboards rool

Hey let's not forget some people are actually willing to give up some screen real estate for comfortable typing.

- physical keyboards rool

Yes I know of the Passport.

Just saying saying why bother with 3.1 inches

 Posted via CB10 on my  Z30

I have a Q10 is the perfect phone. Don't need a bigger screen, sometimes it would be handy, but not necessary. You aren't speaking for me with your comment.

Posted via CB10

Wouldn't it be nice not to worry if an app was Q10 compatible?

Actually, the problem is more to do with the square screen. For developers, supporting square screen devices is a real pain.

You have to code screen layouts specially for them, whereas the same screen layout will (usually) work pretty well on almost all oblong/rectangular screens.

Passport is going to have the same issues :/

Posted via CB10

Not necessarily just the screen size, but what's important to me are the overall dimensions.
The height and width of the Q10 are as big as I'd go. Nice device to carry around and throw in your pocket.
Wouldn't want any bigger, that's what the tablet is for.

Frosty White Q10/10.3.0.1052

Majority of the target group wants a phone with appropriate specs. The specs are way worse than the size on this one!

Posted via Q10 

I love it but does it have real carbon fiber? If I'm paying that much, at least I'm hoping it's real and not fake like the Q10

You know what's really poor?

Crackberry having to source N4BB for photos and or headlining news!

Come on Crackberry, I've seen you guys doing this a lot as of late.

Look! It's Zedzilla10! 

Natch! After four years of using my Curve 8900, I was soo ready for the big screen. Seems like Porche Design should have dressed up the Z30 instead.

Posted via CB10

I really like the porcshe design phones, but if all you're really getting is style and more memory it's not worth it. "Prestige" level phones should combine ultimate power with unfailing beauty. Like an Alienware PC.

Posted via CB10

I own a fresh Alienware gaming laptop and I approve this message.

They're not just beastly, the entire look and feel of the crafting is just insanely high quality.

Z30 Vivo Brasil

I personally think they should have done the passport. I will pass on this device. However makes sense why they used a Q10 with slightly upgraded specs for the target market they are going for with this device.

I don't care much for the Porsche brand. It's a nice phone but I don't think it should cost above 20% over the price of a Q10.

Posted via CB10

Its a status phone for those who are price insensitive. Anyone who can't afford to spend $2K with no sweat shouldn't even look at the phone. Porche will do well with the intended target market.

Added an otter box to my z30....tough as nails...why would any but the most vain want a $2k cell phone??

Colossal waste of cash IMO...

Updated to the Z30...simply wow! the Q is now the bkup.

Why does this one seem glossy?

My Q10's back is matte and classy, this glossy look indeed is kinda cheap... with glossy look I wouldn't buy, even with the cash to splash (the real Prem...)

 BlackBerry? I premdict the future's gonna be chenomenal! 

Something has to compete with the gold iPhone. Exclusive products have their place and customer base.

Posted via CB10

It's just a overpriced Q10 for rich people You have nothing better to do with Their money

BB Z30!! running 10.3

I think they should have made a passport version of the Porsche design and have it come with 128gb of internal memory

Posted via CB10

Normally I'd be all over the newest P' device... but I think I want the Passport more.

Oh wait. Passport starts with a P too. Guess I'm still all over wanting the next P device! :)

Yes get both and give one away in a contest.

Ever since Kévin left the free give away contests seemed to have halted :(

Posted via CB10

I really like it. I think that it looks good.

I'd like to know that the specs are really nice (porsche body and jetta engine doesn't make sense to me).

Having said that, I don't have $2K to spend on this, so maybe my opinion doesn't matter.

But, I love the q10, I just wish the camera, storage, specs, etc of the Q10 were better. Also, the double tyyping issue isn't cool, hopefully the kahn doesn't have that "feature".

Posted via CB10

It looks killer in my opinion. But the screen should be bigger and the hardware should be more powerful. Also if it had a track pad or dial pad whatever it's called like the classic, that would be great.

Posted via CB10 on my BlackBerry Q10

Heard Khan comes with 10.3...so Q users can use its OS right? And it would be all baked OS too right?

Posted via CB10

$2000 would be a good deal if it came in a really cool box. I think I'll just stick with my 80GB Z10 for $1.00

Posted via my fancy BB10 pager thingy

So... has anyone taken apart the P9982?

Is it identical to z10 to a point u can swap housing?

Maybe I'll keep my q10 buy the passport, and use my q10 for a "housing swap project"

Yaaay am excited!

The most unimportant things you never need to know. Pin:C002F4C05

Yeah, not going to lie. Even though I love my Q5 to bits. When ever I play a game or watch a video. I'm always wanting just a little bigger screen. Like a 3'7 screen. Would be perfect :)

I am pleased with my Porsche Design P'9982 because it has a very sensitive touch screen and much memory (64 gb inside + 128 gb memory card).
The quality of this new SanDisk Ultra 128 GB microSDXC unfortunately is not on the same high level as the SanDisk Extreme 64 GB so I have changed it back.
But the P'9982 together with a SanDisk Extreme microSDXC 64 GB memory card is my dream team for the next years. :-)
Beautiful tech design, best materials and the right measures. Best acoustic and radio reception in spite of the stainless steel case! I love it! :-)
The display of the P'9983 is too small and the hardware keyboard needless cause of the genius intelligent software keyboard of the P'9982 (and Z10 similarly!).

Snoopy from Germany with Porsche Design P9982

The phone looks sweet in clear photos. Though seeing the Passport get this treatment would be nice.

I'm curious about something. Has the Mobile Nations Newsroom mean less investigative time for BlackBerry?

Tim Smith from my Z10 on Rogers

I've always thought that porsche designs looked awful. Cars are pretty but their phones suck.

Posted via CB10

Using a Q10, the only problem I have is the screen estate. Come on BB, this is not 2005.
Good work with the passport, but you can't say about operability until it's out. Perhaps they should have had added alt and shift keys somewhere on the right or left.

Posted via CB10

I'd have to be insane to buy this one. I'm already a lil nuts to have purchased the Z10 for $530 and only a year later it's sell for less than $199

Posted via CB10

I love the way it looks and 3.1 inch display is plenty. I have a tablet for reading in my backpack, don't need one in my pocket. Too expensive for sure considering how quickly technology advances. It'll be outdated in 6 months.

Posted via CB10

Hope blackberry don't make to many of these they won't be able to shift many units of these that's for sure.

Posted via CB10

They really half assed this design. I really wish they waited and used the BlackBerry Classic's shell to build it. A 2 year old Q10... No thanks. Already got one

As others have stated, they're not impressive specs. As even more others have stated, specs aren't why people buy P' series phones. I personally don't resonate with the reasons people do. I know the company needs ways to create buzz, but if you've got that much money, once you've bought your phone maybe also consider making an equivalent donation to a worthy charity operating in your community or overseas. :)

Posted via CB10

I remember how the passport was bashed left and right, calling it ugly and stuff when its photos surfaced for the first time. But after a few months people are now going crazy over it. It's interesting to see if the same thing will happen for this device.

Z10 STL100-2 / running official 10.2.1.3247

The P'9981 and P'9982 were both crafted from a single piece of aluminum. There is no mention of that for the P'9983. In fact, the black case sounds like it'll just be paint on stainless steel, or something where paint might chip off. It's not looking good. A titanium case would have been nice.

I just don't get these Porche designed BlackBerrys.
Maybe it's because I don't have cash to throw around to impress people? But the just look clunky and dated to me.

Posted via CB10

Even if I hypothetically had that much to spend on a phone, I still wouldn't. No trackpad and toolbelt. :/

Posted via CB10

O yea... kick ass.
I hope its half true. Lol
Leather back is a must and matt black colour also. Haha

Posted via CB10 from P'9982.

Just out of curiosity, how many of the Porsche phone does Blackberry sell? To me it has looked the same for years now, doesn't Porshe Design do anything different? I would rather the luxury brand be a jazzed up looking Z30 with stainless steel or something like that.

Posted via CB10

The uber awesome Q10, porsche style!! Oh and the mobile version of crackberry is tooooo cramped using the native browser on my bold 9900 and on the Q10. Thank goodness for cb10 and opera mini (in single column mode).

Why are porche design phones about 6-12 months late and only ripoff of other devices ? Put a porche logo on a q10 and it would have been faster lol

Posted via CB10

Frankly speaking, the makers of the P9983 should have waited and should have done the Porsche Design in a Passport style. Then, there would be much interest from Bankers like myself. Passport all the way. I cannot wait.

As a previous user, I prefer the metal finish of old. As I had mentioned in my previous post, I think there is no need for the glaring PD band across the top. If they had continued with their design cues, the iconic brand would be obvious. And last but not least, the specs are fine, but I would have liked to see a 3.5" screen. While I will wait until my provider contacts me with a sample unit before I make a final decision, I am leaning to "pass" on this iteration.

Curious to know if Kevin regrets dropping 2K on his Porsche Q10 yet?

Haven't heard him post that he uses it at all since the purchase.

Nice stuff. Designed for being posh. Only thing is it could have better spec then my q10, not just the storage memory.
Cmon BlackBerry ;)

Posted via CB10

Strange, I don't like the back at all. In fact, this makes it a deal breaker for me. Had hoped for 3 GB memory as well, but could have sacrificed that.

Posted via CB10

USD1k would have been more palatable. If selling more phones is the idea, this price may be out of touch for some

Posted via Z30

Sorry... I know these phonemes a of high quality but this looks like a margin optimisation trick.

The patter of the back is now dated, the front is common and the screen size is small regarding the decorative "Porsche design" mention.

All in all and regarding to the modest specs...

Not pleased.
