BlackBerry with No Contracts, No Commitments from T-Mobile
I don't know how I missed this yesterday in the Best Buy ad, but apparently I did. It looks like T-Mobile is launching prepaid BlackBerry service in the US. Well not the entire US, to be more specific, New Jersey only right now.
Hopefully T-Mobile will have as good of price or better than what MetroPCS has offered to their customers. Details are sketchy, but if you live in New Jersey please post up some info in the comments about what you've heard about this.
** Update ** Getting some word in the comments that the above ad stating these are avilable in New Jersey only may not be accurate. Seems to be available in other states as well. Keep the comments coming with more info.

Helpfully, TMO USA is catching on and spread this BB Prepaid service nationwide. If they don't they will continue to loose people to MetroPCS and Boost Mobile.

The Best Buy circular for Fort Wayne, Indiana has the prepaid T-Mobile Pearl as well, at the $299.99 pricepoint, with a 2 per customer per visit limit like all prepaid phones. And the Best Buy stores here only have T-Mobile prepaid, not T-Mobile contract. I still wouldn't get a SureType BlackBerry at any price, though. (SurePress FTW! Especially after 4.7.0.148!) For the record, the contract carriers that Best Buy carries here are Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint... IIRC, in some areas, Best Buy carries AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile contract (VZW being prepaid only), and in others, they may carry all four carriers on contract.
This makes me wonder if VZW, AT&T, and maybe even Virgin Mobile USA will follow suit with their own prepaid 'Berries, and if the Curve 8520/8530 will be mainly a prepaid BlackBerry. And one can only guess that RIM is going to make an AWS CDMA tri-band Curve "8540" for the likes of metroPCS and Leap/Cricket, too (even though we don't have either in Fort Wayne yet, though Leap's partner Denali Spectrum has AWS spectrum holdings here).
