BlackBerry Messenger

Time for another BlackBerry Messenger update. After running into some issues on BlackBerry 7 devices with v6.0.1.25, RIM has now updated that beta version to v6.0.1.29 and fixed those issues. Change Log is as follows:

Fixed Issues

  • BBM icon missing after upgrading
  • EULA only appeared after attempting to open a Group

Known Issues

  • User name and status in contacts carousel do not update when changed in public connection
  • BBM EULA pops up and disappears before accepting it

If you're a BlackBerry Beta Zone member who is signed up for the BBM beta, you should be able to login now and get the latest version downloaded OTA. As always, any issues drop some comments and of course -- report them to the Beta Zone team as well.

Which is precisely why I'm waiting a few hours to see what people post here before downloading it....

They would give us more customizable options like the bubble color change I thought was coming with 6.0! I absolutely love the BBM connected apps etc but do like myself some customization :)

I still have 6.0.1.25 on my Os 7 torch 9850 lol it never harmed my phone ... Was anyone else as lucky as me?.. Let's see how this update is now ..

I just installed it on my 9780 running os 6.0.0.666. BBM Beta 6.0.1.25 worked fine for me prior. So far so good on .29 though.

Can the EULA's get any longer? If it was printed on paper it would be 40 pages or more. How moronic. Won't take my keycode either. Can't even use it!

won't take my keycode on .25 & .29 Why?This is the first time I have ever had a problem installing beta programs.

Issues: When scrolling up to view message history in group chat focus jumps down and makes it hard to scroll!!

Any solutions people?!
