BlackBerry Messenger update

Looks like BlackBerry Beta Zone members got a mid-week treat with a new version of BlackBerry Messenger, bringing the latest version to v6.0.0.111. While this version doesn't bring us any noticeable changes as the focus this round was on bug fixes in BBM 6 and the BBM Social Platform, it's an important one for developers to get installed for testing their new apps. Not a developer? Not a problem! RIM still wants your input and feedback on this version, so get logged in to the Beta Zone and see if you have the update! And if you aren't a member of the BlackBerry Beta Zone yet, it's never to late to sign up.

As always, make sure you follow the instructions and do a back-up of your information before installing any beta releases.

developers? what developers? developers don't develop for RIM products - because there is simply no point.

What's the point of developing for a BlackBerry user base of 50 million? And who cares about a BBM user base of 30 million, right? YOU FAIL.

Been to .105, the minor bug was when you share an image on Pictures (under BBM Group), the image was stretched automatically. This is now fixed in .111

is this as much of a battery drain as the previous versions?
i had to switch back to bbm5 because of battery drain

Now when I view recent update on latest BBM .111 the page shows updates but they are big like 3-4 lines big very annoying.

Finnaly the not showing Group Messages in Messages Bar and Inbox is fix, great update if you are not expecting changes in the UI but in functionality.

2nd time having issues with beta software. A few months ago I exchanged my 9780 because I was getting an uncaught error message when opening messages (e-mail and text). Didn't have the issue again with the replacement device, I downloaded the updated BBM beta software today and have once again started to receive that error message. I am going back down to the official 5.0 version. SMH!

Downloaded and received a java error when phone restarted. Icon is now missing. Tried to download again multiple times along with multiple resets and battery pulls and still missing. Is there a way I can download old version?

I received the Java error as my post above mentions. Fortunately, I was able to see my icon. I reverted to 5.0.3.22

I found this update to be incredibly solid, i've been using heavily for 6 hours now and see no slow down like the previous version.

I cannot download because of a "907" error, and I am getting the same error on the facebook beta as well.

Seems to work fine for me, but the "paste keycode" bug reared up. Couldn't just push the trackpad to get the option, had to hit the BB key to get "paste" as an option. Keycode installed fine, after that.

9650. 6.0.0.524

I actually had a gnarly BBM glitch not too long ago with the beta, it randomly decided to say I had 8000+ chats open.. it was definitely weird. Yes I reported it, screencaps and all lol. Hopefully whatever glitched it will have been fixed in this update as well!

This app is getting bigger and bigger, without any noticeable changes in functionality. This version is 4.2MB in size - that's almost 50% more memory hogged than by version 5.
