BlackBerry Messenger v5.0.3.13 now available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone

If you're a person who likes to have the latest BlackBerry Messenger available at all times then you'll want to hit up the BlackBerry Beta Zone as they've now released v5.0.3.13. If you're expecting an huge visual changes or things of that sort -- you'll be sadly disappointed. As with most releases these days it's bug-fixes and back end work to improve overall functionality as noted in the Beta Zone

What's New in this Version?

The short answer? Nothing that you can really see. We've made a few minor back-end fixes to the application and would like to make sure everything is working just fine. You may not see any of the bugs or feature requests you reported for BlackBerry Messenger v5.0.2 addressed in this build, but don't be discouraged! Rest assured that we've received ALL your feedback and it will all be taken into consideration for future versions of the software

You can head on over to the BlackBerry Beta Zone now to grab the download file. Just be sure to back up your current BlackBerry Messenger databases before installation.

I have BBM 6.0 with me running on 9700/6.0.0.499, so guys please suggest should I downgrade to this official beta or stick with BBM 6.0 ?? Help help !!

Well, BBM 6.0 is quite snappy, no bugs nothing nonsense happens, you get to see the timezone updates along with the name on the bbm menu. Plus you have 50+ odd avatars to change for your profile pic in bbm. And for complete feedback go through the link.

Its no good....mine was working til I upgraded to this new beta. Now bbm's just look like theyre trying to send.

My contacts keep disappearing after every reboot. I'm in part of the beta testing but issue hasn't been addressed in the forums. I hope this release can fix this though . . .

Probably not going to as it states only minor backend changes,

I installed BBM 6 the other day and cannot see any difference what confuses me is how this BBM 6 is out when betazone has a 5.0.3

Well BBM 6 is for ONLY OS 6 (for now) while 5.0.3 is for both OS 5 & 6... lol

No noticeable difference on this new BBM Beta... just as it says. They still didnt fix the highlight/select bug.

I don't get it ppl sayn they have bbm6. I have a BB running os6 and I'm running 5.0.1 and that was the latest update. Where are ppl getting bbm 6 from?

Do not waste your time downloading bbm 6 unless you are in the bbm beta program. There is no way to make it work unless you are one of the beta testers for bbm. As far as I know any way. I remember when it first leaked a lot of people deleted bbm 5 then installed the leak just to find out they need a key code to use it. So then they had to delete bbm 6 and reinstall bbm 5. Its kind of a waste of effort just to find out you can't use it.

If you want to use it you have to sign up at BlackBerry beta zone and hope you get selected to join the bbm program.

Also I do have bbm 6 and I do like it better than the latest bbm 5. But it isn't jump up and down amazing or anything. It only adds a few noticeable differences right now.

GUYS, BBM 6 ONLY WORKS ON OS 6 PLATFORM AND KEYCODE IS REQUIRED FOR IT, YOU CAN USE ANY BETA BBM KEY FOR THE SAME. Make a note of it.

only thing i notice with bbm 6 why i didnt keep it was if i reboot all the contacts that were link to an address book contact would reset so i didnt even wait if that not an issuse den try it

ever since i dl the new beta bbm for some reason when i scroll up and down my bbm list now it laggy and before my bbm was working fine... anyone else having this issue?
