After having been officially shown off at CES 2017, the BlackBerry Mercury as it has been thus far called will officially be announced at Mobile World Congress 2017 on February 25 by BlackBerry Mobile. As it stands, Mercury is still a codename and not the official name BlackBerry Mobile will give the device at launch.

In keeping with the limited information, BlackBerry Mobile is also choosing to not release official specs for the handset as of yet and will use the Mobile World Congress event highlight those details. Though the official specs will be unveiled in due time, rumors have suggested the Mercury is making use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4.63-inch diagonal display size with a 1620x1080 resolution at 420 PPI.

Keyboard passionate BlackBerry fans will be pleased to know the keyboard has the same set of features found on the Priv in that it is backlit and operates as a touch surface for gestures, but the space bar also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
