Sweet make a nice commercial :)
tayshun12 Sep 20, 2012 at 9:06 am
Ya... But its not an official RIM commercial so I think that RIM should take legal action....
(Obviously Trolling :p )
Kiddo2050 Sep 19, 2012 at 6:22 pm
This plus a shot of the new BB10 phone would grab some attention.
lynxs_claw Sep 19, 2012 at 6:31 pm
NIIIICCCCCEEE!!!
Xader Sep 19, 2012 at 6:33 pm
This is the kind of marketing RIM needs to focus on. In fact, this exact commercial would work just fine.
In the past, their ads have always come off as kinda forced and bland. Is it any wonder the media and many consumers see the product the same way?
martinjdub Sep 19, 2012 at 6:37 pm
This was just a marketing test by RIM...nothing to see here
...Waiting for the respsonce.
Good, bad or ugly...
neteng1000 Sep 19, 2012 at 6:50 pm
It caught my attention and that's what they need to do. It's not against my religious beliefs to use sexual innuendos to sell so I liked it. I think this was created for the European market who are not uptight about these things as we North Americans.
mailchrisbailey Sep 19, 2012 at 7:33 pm
Don't know of any religion that would condone a video like this....but morality aside, this video might make a 13 year old chuckle.
neteng1000 Sep 19, 2012 at 7:45 pm
I can name one but I'm not going there :)
Regardless, I was making a point. Apparently there are some uptight folks around here that didn't appreciate it
Darlaten Sep 19, 2012 at 8:19 pm
First, the person behind this add has more creativity and artistic flare than any other add created by RIM to date. And quite frankly, could replace the entire advertising team at RIM. Bloody brilliant!
Second, I would love to see this receive airplay in Canada and the US; but yes, I definitely could see religious types/conservative types complain loudly about it. Would love to see what Stephen Harper, Canada's oh so conservative prime minister, say about this one. LOL
neteng1000 Sep 19, 2012 at 8:40 pm
Reform party LOL
I am a middle aged man and very successful in my career but to some in this thread I am a ”kid" for voicing my approval. Loosen up there pal :)
LegendaryKane Sep 19, 2012 at 10:05 pm
That's very high praise. I'm glad you liked it. Thank you.
BruvvaPete Sep 19, 2012 at 11:48 pm
Why are you bringing religion into this?
neteng1000 Sep 19, 2012 at 6:38 pm
Wicked!
LegendaryKane Sep 19, 2012 at 10:05 pm
Thanks.
birdman_38 Sep 20, 2012 at 11:12 am
This ad is moving and would get people talking. It could momentarily feature a BB10 device in the revised version ;)
mhinc Sep 19, 2012 at 7:15 pm
RIM should spend more money releasing things on time, and development, rather than stupid, sleazy commercials. That was, by far, the most awful Blackberry commercial/promo I have ever seen!
It's obvious from the comments, who the young ones are and who the adults are.
RIM needs to stop focusing on social network BS, and get back to Business! Sex sells, but it's sure as hell not selling Blackberrys!
mailchrisbailey Sep 19, 2012 at 7:35 pm
Well said but I don't think RIM had anything to do with this. Hopefully not anyway..
bitek Sep 19, 2012 at 7:56 pm
not yet you mean. 9900 is sexy phone and girls look hot with it!
BBPandy Sep 19, 2012 at 8:17 pm
It's Fan Video. RIM / BlackBerry had nothing to do with it's creation.
If you read Kevin's post he even says so.
Guyzer Sep 19, 2012 at 8:31 pm
its sad to see cb and bb going the route of sex to sell. used to be functionality for business purposes now they are selling out to try and stay current.
one of the top apps for bb playbook is "sexy pics" which is quite sad.
cb features some porno star new article earlier. glad i dont see it anymore but its sad to see this is where we are headed.
Michelle Haag Sep 19, 2012 at 9:10 pm
As already stated, this was a fan made video. CB and RIM had nothing to do with it, we just passed it along.
CB and RIM don't buy all the apps, consumers do. So again, that app being one of the tops has nothing to do with either of us, look to your fellow users.
Last, Winter Ave Zoli isn't a porn star. She's an actress. Yes, she did a photo shoot for PlayBoy, but that doesn't make her a porn star. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0880181/

Good lord old man Clemens.. Nobody put a bag of burning dog isht on your porch.. settle down.

You and those who agree with you should really pause before commenting on posts. Ensure you get ALL the facts first; otherwise you prove yourself to be a knee-jerk reaction jerk.
coolaide Sep 19, 2012 at 7:38 pm
I must say. Thats a sexy tattoo. Might have to tag the wife with one.
Bobert_123 Sep 19, 2012 at 8:14 pm

Rootbrian Sep 20, 2012 at 2:35 am
RIM didn't make the video.
birdman_38 Sep 20, 2012 at 11:14 am
Still hot though.
annon91221 Sep 19, 2012 at 8:28 pm

susu222 Sep 19, 2012 at 9:01 pm
I'll like to have whatever she's having ,please!
LegendaryKane Sep 19, 2012 at 9:56 pm
Hey everyone, I'm the guy that shot this commercial. As stated by Kevin, this is in no way endorsed by RIM.
I did this as a longtime fan of BlackBerry and wanted to create a little interest in the brand beyond the usual doom and gloom. I understand those who are against this type of "advertising' but I think, right now, this is exactly what they need.
Everyone within the community knows how fantastic and efficient BlackBerry devices are. And if we are honest with ourselves we are currently the only consumers who pay attention to our brand. So RIM only advertising the specs and functionality of their devices to us is a waste of advertising investment. We already know, that's why we are sticking with them.
My aim was to simply draw attention. Let everyone else know that we're alive and kicking. Has the innuendo thing been done before? Yes, but not by RIM. Sexy ads sell. Is that the only theme that RIM needs to pursue? No, but as a start, it doesn't hurt.
I have a lot of ideas for more BlackBerry ads so if you like it, please share. It's encouraging to continue when the efforts made are appreciated. As a fan, I want to see my brand succeed.
Thanks.
springbok Sep 19, 2012 at 11:40 pm
+1M!
Thanks for the video and the sentiment!
BruvvaPete Sep 19, 2012 at 11:55 pm
Thanks bro. Keep it ..."up" lol.
LegendaryKane Sep 20, 2012 at 1:51 am
Haha, Thanks!
SilkySunshine Sep 19, 2012 at 11:57 pm
As an avid RIM supporter and extreme BlackBerry fan, I think that ad was fantastic! I would love to see more ads like that to get the attention of the Android and iOS users. Thanks for helping to make BlackBerry cool again. Much appreciated.
labyrinth9 Sep 20, 2012 at 12:08 am
I think you are completely correct. Preaching to the choir is not a good investment. Whether you approve of this type of advertising or not, it DOES draw you attention. People think BlackBerry is dead, because they hear people tell them so and they have no evidence to the contrary. First get their attention. Second show them what a BlackBerry can do.
LegendaryKane Sep 20, 2012 at 1:48 am
Thanks!
BruvvaPete Sep 19, 2012 at 11:59 pm
You won't like this ad (not created by RIM) if you're a prude; enjoy your missionary style.
mnhockeycoach99 Sep 20, 2012 at 12:29 am
Pete... I actually LOL'd at this comment.
+1
bitek Sep 20, 2012 at 8:30 am

waiting4rim2catchup Sep 20, 2012 at 1:08 am
love the video, Kane! I can't stop watching it! indeed make more...
I wouldn't mind an extended version of this one... LOL
LegendaryKane Sep 20, 2012 at 1:49 am
Thanks! There is more to come.
uuglyindaface Sep 20, 2012 at 1:24 am
I'm a freek myself..but I wouldn't want to see BlackBerry making commercials like this.
Rootbrian Sep 20, 2012 at 2:37 am
Damn! Kane, send your commercials to RIM and alec saunders, maybe he'll consider them, balanced and all, that is a brilliant idea.
LegendaryKane Sep 20, 2012 at 3:46 am
I would love to. Does anyone know the best route to contacting them?
Michelle Haag Sep 20, 2012 at 3:56 pm
I'm pretty sure they keep an eye on CrackBerry ;)
But you can send it to Alec, maybe he can pass it on to the right people.
alec.saunders@rim.com
bitek Sep 20, 2012 at 8:31 am
great suggestion. This is what rim needs. shocking stuff. so people can talk more about this brand
trsbbs Sep 20, 2012 at 9:01 am
Won't fly. Too over sexed for the main stream and says nothing about the product.
Sexy commercials will not work right now.
Carls Jrs tried this when they purchased Hardees a while back and it was a BIG flop.
You risk insulting people.
I do have to say that I admire her love for a phone though.
Tim
haricharan Sep 20, 2012 at 10:23 am
its not just a phone, its BlackBerry ;)
grumpyalbertm Sep 20, 2012 at 10:44 am
